Let's Hear Some HHN Reviews!

Is there a place to grab something to eat when doing The Stay and Scream?

Not really. They've got ton of drink stands, but the restaurants close down early. The best idea is to order pizza into your room, and save the left overs in zip lock bags in a cooler. Or you'll have to visit TGIFridays.

Either way, you need to eat at 3pm, and then head to USF so you can get in at 4pm.

If you pay 10 dollars more, you can go to IOA between the hours of 4 and 7, I believe. This is not stay and scream...this is merely a way for you to go to IOA for 10 bucks. You are not allowed to go into HHN early....if I read that correctly.
So, another sum up. Day ticket to USF=Stay and Scream=Early admit into HHN.

Is this info in red 100% accurate?

I will not be allowed in HHN early?

I want a $10.00 refund!

Super quick rankings, may go into more detail when I get time

1. PsychoPath- awesome cast!
2. Dungeon of Terror- loved the hokiness of it all
3. Psychoscarepy- some down moments, but overall, enjoyed it quite a bit
4. Screamhouse- a few good scares
5. All Night Die-In- felt the cast should have been better
6. Run- not impressed
7. People Under the stairs- What the heck was that? Awful

Also, very unimpressed by all three zones. I don't even want to call them scare zones, I didn't see much scaring.

Bill and Ted was great too. "Dr. Evil...... again?"

You dont have to pay to get into Stay and Scream....they were just giving you a way to enjoy some IOA fun first. Read just a little bit more carefully next time.
Hey Slacking....was Psycoscarapy as covered in sh-t as butters said. He said if you were Bob Saget you wouldnt like it, because it was just covered in sh-t.

Okay, so what do I have to do to get into the stay and scream?
Do I have to pay extra? Show any kind of membership pass, ticket, or any other paper?

I have never done the stay and scream thing.

For S&S you have to be in USF before 5pm and have a valid HHN16 ticket. That's it. Head towards twister and Screamhouse first. Yes, Psychoscearpy was covered in the stuff, and it smelled like it too.

Ughh! I remember psychoscareapy from a couple of years ago. there was a slow long line through it and it took everything I had to keep from throwing up all over myself and everbody else. but the next time we went through it, I carried a tissue misted with some perfume on it and held it under my nose as I walked through and it wasn't as bad. I plan to do the same thing this year. :) that along with some earplugs (because of screaming girls behind me) and I will be set. this will be my 7th yr of HHN and I have learned to be prepared! :yay:

Not all of it but there is a bathroom area that is covered. Im not sure what they use but it smells like the real thing! lol

I seem to remember more of it spread around in the 2003 house.

Yaytez- it is not as bad as I expected. I have a super weak stomach, and it didn't bug me at all.

I was saying that because of the IOACentral Radio Podcast for this week. Invader Butters does a trip report where every other word is bleeped out. Its really funny. Check it out:

We went Friday night the 6th and had an awesome time!
It was very crowded, and we're glad that we purchased the Express Pass.
We purchased the $10 IOA ticket and went there from 3:30 until about 6:00, then we went directly into HHN's. We hit the houses in the studios first, absolutely no lines! So we didn't bother using the Express Pass until it started getting crowded.

When we went in '03, PsychoScarapy was great, but I don't remember the S*&^ smell being so bad. This year it wafed throughout the whole house, that and the urine smell.
Even coming out of the house directly next to PsycoScarapy you could smell that smell. It was definitely strong.
One thing that bugged me:
One of the workers stayed in the bathroom at Flannigans (I think that's the name) bar in the NY area. She asked every single woman who walked in for one dollar. We went back there three times and three times she was in there asking for money. I think she was a little off kilter, but still, even the attendants in Manhattan don't come right out and ask for money.
The first time my SIL felt bad for her and gave her a dollar. Then when I went back a second time and saw she was doing it to everyone, I got pissed.
But whatever.....
I took a lot of photos and I'll post those this weekend.

Worst house?
People Under The Stairs. I appreciate what another poster wrote, Quick, what can we throw up in one day and splatter with red paint?
That's exactly what that was. What a shame.

I think: HHN's executive workers were under the gun to produce for a Sweet 16 party.
It's like this.
I make dinner just about every night. But when my husband says, Dazzle Me! I do a bad job. I think that's what happened. They were under the gun to Dazzle and couldn't think of what to do.

I really liked the Deadtropolis scare zone, but only because I love Zombies and the End Of The World scenarios. But there weren't that many zombies out. The vampire scare zone was eh and the one with the pumpkins could have been better.
The one with the harvest/pumpkins also had a dwarf in it dressed up. I thought he was funny, but he was getting a lot of negative feedback. One little girl, about 14, who was only a little taller than him, screamed in his face and called him a little F*&*er! Everyone was teasing him.

All in all, I was in heaven that night and Loved HHN's. I agree that the Express Pass is a Must Have. We did it without the pass and regretted it because we spent most of the time waiting on lines.

Next time, we're staying at an on-site resort and will definitely once again purchase the Express Pass.

I'll post all my photos and a few video clips this weekend.

Hello everyone, I just spoke to a co-worker & he told me that the lines this past weekend at HHN-16 were so long & really packed. He remembered the waiting times :hourglass :

Saturday, October 7th.

PsychoPath: 90 min
PUTS: 120 mins
Dungeon: 110 mins
RUN: 90 Mins
Screamhouse: 85 mins
Die-In: 120 mins
PsychoScareapy: 60 mins

WOW! Thank god we have Express Passes...

Well, that's not good. They've got to figure out a way to reduce the waits. Right now I'd say they need to open Screamhouse, Die In, and Psychoscearpy at 05:30pm sharp. Right now they stagger start them. Not good, all 3 soundstage houses need to be open at the same time.

In the future
1. Go back to the HHN14 set up from two years ago using both parks. In that setup, people could go thru two soundstage houses while waiting in the S&S area. When they said go at 6pm, everyone was already on their 3rd house.

Robosaurus will have a soft opening tomorrow night (Wednesday.)

Cool, thanks!

Not sure if I'm totally interested, but at least I may get a chance to see it.

I saw it tonight and it was amazing! You will love it.

And he will help in "eating" the crowds. :thumbsup2
That should take it down a bit on weekends. What about the chainsaw drill team and rat lady?

Woo hoo. I have to say this HHN was the best I've ever been to! (10, 13, 14, 15). We had so much fun this year. I wish we could go again before it's over.

i went to hhn on the 6, 7. and 8th.

friday was the best date for no lines. people were streaming out around 11:20. no large crowds.......

saturday, well this day made up for the lack of crowds the night before.
when it rained, it opened up many of the lines. i stood in the rain while others scrambled for shelter.

sunday, stay and scream area at finnegans was not released until 6 and then the houses did not open until 6:15 or later. long lines in the beginning but it spaced out throughout the evening.

i had the express pass for all 3 nights and it was worth it.
the last 3 years i have bought the epp and wouldn't dream of doing hhn without it.

each year the crowds grow in size.
anyone that was there on friday the 6th were able to hit all the houses easily when the big crowds left early.

did the unmask the horror tour on sunday. wow ! good stuff
