Let's Go to the EX!!

The EX starts this Friday.
I alway assume the start of the EX as the end of summer.
I usually make it down at least once.
Did not make it down last year because of the blackout and other commitments.
I plan to make it down this weekend.

We did not go last year because we were at the "Cottage"

But we are going twice this year! Once this weekend and once during the week so that I can take my mom when it's not too crowded!LOL

Bought our "Magic Pass"'s tonight!

I would rather be at the "Cottage" but that will have to wait!LOL

So sad that it's starting already..... that means summer is almost over

But then again that means October is that much closer!!

We don't go every year but are going to try and get there this year! My 10yo is interested in seeing the air show...... sigh... I remember the lazy summer days watching it while sailing home from a weekend at the island on our boat!

Don't forget about the renissance festival that's on every weekend until Labour day weekend..... that's in Milton. We took the boys last weekend and they loved it!

I have many fond memories of going to the Ex as an adolescent. I remember going with my mother, brother and friend in 1977 -- we could hardly carry all the free stuff we left with. Bags upon bags of McCain's cheese popcorn. What a great place. The International marketplace was actually people from other countries who brought representative products from their countries to introduce them to the Canadian marketplace. It seems to have degenerated into an amalgamation of every cheap store from the Danforth and Kensington Village. So sad.

The best place to go is still the Food Building. Love the Tiny Tom donuts; HR Salt Fish & Chips; and more pizza ovens than I've ever seen in one place.
