I caught my mother making the BIGGEST contradiction she had ever made today. I found it kind of funny, actually.

She's always getting onto people about "You shouldn't go around looking like that! You need to present yourself well! Outer appearances and the first impressions you give people matter!"

And yet...today...she said that she doesn't care about what other people think about her when she does stupid things in public. So it's like...ok. So you can't go out in public wearing yellow socks with GIANT RED CLOWN SHOES.

But!

It's perfectly fine to run around the mall while acting like a complete nut. And if people stare at you and think you're strange? O-WELL!

NOW HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE?!

So it's ok if people think you're crazy, just as long as they think you're crazy while you're dressed well?
