Mine went out early this morning! Went to UPS, but only had a POBox, so they did USMail, unfortunatley, much more expensive, like $20. I need to try that flat rate box stuff, but I had a lot to send! Hope it arrives safe and sound and is enjoyed!

Holy Cow that was FAST! That is the only kind of meatloaf I make anymore and its SO good. The hoisin sauce makes it taste very good. The Pretzel Salad sounds weird, but everytime I take it for a potluck it is gone, gone, gone, before I ever get some, so people gobble it up. Chili Cheese Potatoe Pie is my stand-by for when I dont feel like making something complicated and I love to make my own granola cereal for breakfast!

so ours got sent out a little late do to some car issues (and due to the fact the philip decided that we couldnt send one of his recipes because someone dies whenever someone passes it on??? )...at least looking at this board it looks like we are not the only ones who missed the deadline a little...


however, we did receive ours last thursday, from mommytotwo!

here is what we got:
recipe for thumbprint cookies (guava jelly)
recipe for mandarin cake (can of mandarin oranges, can of pineapple, yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding mix)
recipe for pineapple upside down cake (with the exception of the mandarin oranges, the ingredients for the other cake could be used for this too!)
recipe for mango bread
recipe for hot potato salad
recipe for Korean style fried chicken
recipe for double chocolate brownies
recipe for peanut butter cookies
box of honey cornbread mix
vegetable peeler
a few blank recipe cards


so the same day we got the package i made the thumbprint cookies, which are like butter cookies with a little well made by a thumb (hence the name) that gets filled with jelly. neither phil nor i had ever had guava or guava jelly, but we loved them! they were delicious, buttery and light. I was low on sugar so i subbed half the sugar with splenda, but they still came out great. phil, who thought the idea of an exchange was silly when i told him i signed us up, changed his mind!

tonight was are going to make the pineapple upsidedown cake!

Glad you liked the thumbprint cookies. We always make them during Christmas, and the guava jelly ones are my favorite. You could also use the jelly on toast or to glaze a ham with. Just mix the guava jelly with water, and pineapple juice and top it onto your ham. It will give it a nice brown glaze.
Enjoy the pineapple upside down cake, we like them.
