Let's celebrate this "babymoon" GRAND style!! COMPLETED

Hi! I know I've seen you around and I've seen some of your older completed TR's but it looks like I picked a good day to look and see if there are any new TR's posted to read along with from the start! :wave2:

Congratulations on the wedding and the upcoming addition to the family!! :thumbsup2

Well, I'm glad you looked!

This happened to me ALL the time last trip!

Nope!

It was annoying!

Look on the lock...:)

~May 22, 2013 – More fun at the Magic Kingdom!~

We left off with the guys heading to Splash Mountain, which was one of the rides I had to sit out on. So, Mom stayed behind with me and we did more shopping for the baby, of course! Since it was our first day, I was just more browsing and deciding than actually buying. Since we wanted to be close to the guys, we stopped in here:

I think the Briar Patch is one of the cutest gift shops. They didn’t have much in there, but it was a nice way to stay cool in the A/C! I did see this little guy:

Pascal from Tangled! He was so cute. (Remember him for later in the trip!)

Since Splash was a walk on, it took them no time at all. I asked Little Guy what he thought of the ride and got this response:

Can you tell he’s trying not to laugh?! He really did like it, except for that little drop in the dark. We found out this trip that he’s not too fond of rides in the dark.

Since we were right by BTMRR and it said it was only a 20 minute wait, Uncle, DH, and Little Guy got in line for that. Instead of 20 minutes, it only ended up being 10! But while they did that, Mom, Dad, and I went to get a sneak peak of the New Fantasyland. Dad also ran over to Space Mountain and got the guys FP’s for that.

When DH and I were there in August, the Storybook Circus part was all finished and the rest of the New Fantasyland was close to being finished (with the exception of the mine roller coaster). I was so excited to show Mom and Dad how much had changed! First glimpse by Pinnochio’s:

No more Dumbo! No more Snow White’s Scary Adventures!

There was this cute display in the Beauty and the Beast area, which was on a wall blocking the mine roller coaster construction:

This would be cute to go to with a little one:

Be Our Guest!! I could not wait to eat there the next night! People already were lining up for lunch about 10 a.m. every day we were there!:

Gaston’s Tavern!

Where I knew I’d be spending some money:

If only I had enough $$ for this painting!:

I thought this was the cutest popcorn stand! If you’ve seen the movie, you know that looks like Maurice’s contraption he built!:

Another attraction I was dying to ride! The new Little Mermaid!:

The wait was only 10 minutes, so when Uncle, DH, and Little Guy got done on BTMRR, we had them meet us back there. I could not wait any longer!! DH said that Little Guy kept yelling the whole time on BTMRR, “This is awesome!!” I’m sad I missed it.

Back in line at the Little Mermaid..

I think the 10 minutes was really all the walking through the line we had to do to get to the actual ride itself! There was hardly anyone else in line!

They have these little crabs in line that are picking up stuff. This was Little Guy’s favorite part of the whole ride! This crab stopped what he was doing and waved at Little Guy. So, the rest of the trip, he was referred to as his “crab friend”.

The ride was so cute! I loved it! I was so happy to finally see Beauty and the Beast and the Little Mermaid have real attractions at the MK.

By the time we got off the ride, the guys could go use their Space Mountain FP’s! So to Tomorrowland we headed:

It was not as easy to get Little Guy up on their shoulders than last trip, haha!

While they rode Space, Mom, Dad, and I rode the People Mover. They had not heard the new guy yet. They were sad there was no more “Paging Mr. Morrow…Mr. Tom Morrow.”

Just as we were walking back to Space Mountain, here they came walking up to us! Perfect timing! We were all starving at this point. I mentioned that I was craving the lobster roll from CHH, so to Liberty Square we headed! They were doing work to the outside of CHH:

While Mom and Dad ordered, DH, Uncle, and Little Guy ran upstairs and got us a table. Our view:

Mom and Uncle ended up having the lobster roll and chips like me. DH and Dad had salads, which were also good. Little Guy had chicken nuggets with macaroni and cheese. Everything was so good, and everyone was so hungry!

*Continued in next post*

*Continued from previous*

After we made it back downstairs, I really wanted to check out the new Tangled bathroom! I know..who gets excited about a bathroom?! But, Tangled is one of my favorite movies!

Little Guy wanted to do the Haunted Mansion, which ended up being a perfect choice because it was a walk on!

He didn’t really care for this ride too much. At least he tried it!

Next, we had to do IASW.

Little Guy was fascinated with all the change in the water.

He had fun figuring out the different countries during the ride with me. But when we got off, he decided, “That was a baby ride.” Haha!

Both Uncle and Little Guy wanted to ride PoTC again, so the guys headed that way while Mom and I browsed through the Emporium. I found some stuff I HAD to get the baby sometime in the trip. I’ll take pictures of everything I bought soon! I saw a Lightning McQueen shirt, and he’s wearing Mickey ears. I saw a Buzz Lightyear onesie. I also saw a train set that was made of blocks. We walked out of there both deciding the baby needed all that. Ha!

While we waited for the guys to meet us, we found a table near Tony’s to sit at. We saw Mary Poppins come out to do a Meet ‘n Greet!

Hey, somebody familiar!

We decided it was the perfect time to head back to BLT to swim. We also decided to hop on the monorail.

Here it comes!:

“Welcome to those passengers who just joined us, and hope you enjoyed the Magic Kingdom!”

I love that mural and the 5 legged goat!

~Up next: C’mon & PARTY!~

Looks like the trip got off to a good start - nothing better than that first day of vacation :goodvibes
Did you use the Disney app a lot to check on wait times, etc? And how helpful did you find it? We used it the last time we were there but mostly to double check park hours, parade times, etc from the room, and not much when we were actually in the park.

On our trip last summer we stayed at BLT for the first time and loved it. Glad you got such a fantastic view! I wasn't if we would like it as much as some of the other resorts we've stayed at but loved the spacious room (1 bed villa), the pool and of course being so very close to MK :thumbsup2

Not surprised you found some baby things to buy so early on - we took a short trip to DLP (we're in the UK) not long before we had our first DD and found a few things she just *had* to have :rotfl: And I think seeing you looking so cute in your Minnie T-shirt might just have prompted me to do some more shopping right now and check out what the Disney store have in at the moment - I'm at about the same point in my pregnancy with number 3 as you were during your trip.

Following along. It sounds like your trip had a perfect beginning. I love the first picture of your group. You look great. I was 6 months pregnant the first time I went to WDW. I think I got around better then than I do now! I can't wait to hear about the rest.

Hello! I'm here! A grand villa in BLT sounds so marvelous! I love it!! And I can't believe how big Little Guy has gotten!! Crazy! Also, congrats on your little boy! Being a boy mommy is the best! :upsidedow I'm so happy for you! I enjoyed your MK morning, can't wait for more!!

Can't wait to see all the cute baby clothes and toys you bought! Since there are so many rides you can't go on, you have to do something with your time, right? :thumbsup2

I really love the architecture in the new Fantasyland... especially the Little Mermaid castle and caves. It is just so immersive! Not that the Beauty and the Beast stuff is second rate or anything. :rotfl2:

I hope there will be more pictures of the mine train. :rolleyes1 We were there in Decemeber and I haven't seen many recent pictures of it. The partial view in your picture looking that direction looks like they're really coming along well on it!

It looks like you're all having a good time and I'm glad Little Guy is enjoying himself. Even if he isn't all that crazy about the dark rides.

hi Tink! :wave2:

So sorry i haven't gotten a chance to log in earlier and sub in to your TR! But I'm here now and still have to go back and read, but I promise I will. I love the baby bump pics! You look so cute!

Little guy looks so big now! And I've loved seeing more of the wedding pics.

Can't wait to hear how everything went this trip!

Hugs!

Love your view!! I didnt realize you could see the other parks with the lake view. I am going to buy Go Walks tomorrow. Seriously! So many people have been saying how great they are. My next trip will be Feb, so I doubt I wear them there, but I still want a pair. :thumbsup2

We did use the Disney app a lot! It was very handy. And, it also helped pass the time in line!

I was surprised that Minnie shirt still fit!

Thanks, that picture was from the Luau!

I hope you like the shoes as much as I do!

I found your TR yesterday, I'm joining in! If I ever get the chance I plan to go back and read your past TRs. Looks like this trip was off to a good start! Congratulations on the wedding and the baby boy! You look great. I was also in Disney in May, we were there the 10-16.

I hope you like the shoes as much as I do!

Where did you find yours? I have several pairs of Skechers Tone ups that I love! I'm kind of leary of ordering online because I like to try them on first. Are they in major dept. stores like Belks or Macys?

I think that if I were pregnant in Disney and couldn't go on all the rides that I normally go on, I would go crazy with buying outfits and fun things for the baby!!! I'd be like, "No Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain for me this time? Hmm, what cute things do they have in the Briar Patch?" Haha. Can't wait to see what you picked up for your baby! It's pretty cool that even when pregnant, there are still a million things to do at Disney and so many things to see and experience.

Do you have Famous Footwear near you? I know mine has them.

Subbing in.

That's so cute about "Little Guy" talking about the girl on TV. Make sure to let him know I already called dibs.:rotfl2:

Ugh, taking out "Mr. Tom Morrow' should be a criminal offence.

Yup, just bathrooms, but what wonderful bathrooms they are. :thumbsup2

Congrats on the upcoming little one. :flower3:

This would be cute to go to with a little one:

We actually didn't do it. Seth has no interest in Beauty & the Beast at this point, and I knew he wouldn't be interested in seeing it. I watched a youtube video of it to see if it was something he'd sit through and I knew he wouldn't since he wasn't interested in the story. Since the wait is always so long, and there is no FP, I wasn't going to make my mom watch him while I stood in a long line, so we skipped it. Next time! I think if you have a little one who's interested in the story, they'd love it. So it just depends on the kid. At 2 their attention span is about 5 minutes for most things. Now if it had anything to do with Toy Story, Monsters, Brave, "Punzel" (Tangled), Wall-E or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, he'd be good to go!

Be Our Guest!! I could not wait to eat there the next night! People already were lining up for lunch about 10 a.m. every day we were there!:

This was something else we nixed. I had played with the idea of going to lunch there (since, once again, I didn't bother with a dinner reservation since Seth's not interested in B&tB) but once I saw the line (which I had already heard about), I decided against it. Just not practical to wait in that line with a 2yo. I do want to try it next time though! Hopefully for dinner. :thumbsup2

Gaston’s Tavern!

I LOVED this! Such great theming!

Another attraction I was dying to ride! The new Little Mermaid!:

Glad you guys liked it - we did too! Seth has never seen the movie b/c I only have it on VHS, but he still really enjoyed the ride. I've already pre-ordered the blu-ray - I think it's coming out in October. Can't wait! He sees all the Sebastian/Flounder themed commercials on Disney Junior and he actually sleeps with a plush Sebastian my sister got him....doesn't even know the character but loves the plush! :rotfl: I'm excited for him to see it.

I misread and thought this was 5/21 but I saw that it was actually 5/22. That was the day we were at Harry Potter at Universal and then Downtown Disney that evening. Here was my schedule -

5/19 - EPCOT
5/20 - MK/dinner at Ohana
5/21 - HS
5/22 - Harry Potter/Downtown Disney
5/23 - MK

So I guess the only day left we have to match up schedules would've been 5/23. Where were you guys that day?
