Let the (Soaken Wet) Memories Begin TR- Update 12/8

I'm so glad the stain came out! That is so great. :thumbsup2

I love the Daisy custom, very cute. Poor Daisy misses out to Minnie all the time I bet.

Aisling looks postively teeny next to Goofy. It's crazy to see that since she is such a tall kiddo.

I just wanted to hop on and post this really quickly. I thought I had more pics of the kaki gori mess, but all I have is this one that Livy took.

I thought it was very generous of you to be so nice about those boys spoiling all of your pictures. While they obviously couldn't help themselves, it's still irritating when you spend that kind of money for a meal so you can get great character pictures and then they are ruined. Those parents probably are saints! Whenever I see that situation, I am always reminded to be thankful for what I have-healthy kids whose behavorial issues are of their own making ;)

We ran in to that "groups not all being together" thing at the restaurants as well. It happened 3 or 4 times and it did get annoying when the guests got rude with the CMs about it.

Ok based on the pics of Ash with the "stain", you totally did pull a Kate! I know its a handmade custom but that doesn't look so bad! Maybe its just the way the picture was taken but I was picturing her completely red! Glad you got it all out! Way to go! :thumbsup2

We've never eating at Tusker House, we might have to give it a try!

I love how Daisy ate up Ash's dress. Too cute!

After how you described that stain, I was expecting her whole shirt to be red! :lmao: I would have freaked out too, though. I am a bit of a perfectionist in that way. ;) Glad you could get it out!

We love the Tusker House breakfast! I think it's my favorite breakfast, next to Akershus. :thumbsup2

Sending apologies to my readers. FB people will know that I ended up with major backpain last week and overall yucky feeling. I have two herniated disks so it's not that unusual. Well turns out it wasn't my back. Ended up in the ER over the weekend with Kidney Stones, Cysts, and really low hematocrit. I don't handle pain meds well but they were necessary at the ER so they shot me up and then I ended up with an instant migraine and became violently ill  So needless to say, I have stopped taking any pain meds which means I'm not feeling great. But I will update as soon as i'm feeling better, I promise.

Yikes!!! Feel better quick!

Just re-read your whole trip report to catch up, since I'd fallen behind. Boy, I can really relate to all the pouring rain after our trip recently! Looking forward to more. Hope you are feeling better!

Anyone still with me? Unfortunately, my health issues continue but that is always the way with me, go in for one thing and find out 3 other things are wrong :headache: However, I managed to at least finally pass the darn kidney stone today. (if you are keeping track, yes that is 11 days after I went to the ER). I am very fortunate that is was 1cm which is what many urologists would say is the biggest size you can pass without surgery (thank God for small favors I guess!) To celebrate, I’m offering a BIG UPDATE

When I left off, we were heading to the ride that always comes first at AK....the Safari. Now that the weather is turning colder, it may be difficult to remember how hot it was in August but we figured that if we didn't get on that safari, we weren't seeing many animals...it was HOT!

So this part of the update will be filled with pics of all the animals us DISers have come to know and love :thumbsup2

We came off the Safari and there were misters going to cool everyone off (and this was still only like 9:30!) So here is "Aisling in the Mist"

We were going to skip the Pangani trail but a CM informed us that the new baby gorilla was out. So off we went

At some point we heard from Erin that they had arrived at AK so I met up with her and Olivia while Aisling did those Explorer Station things with Randy. One of the most hilarious moments of the trip occurred while I was walking with Erin and Olivia. I was wearing my Anniversary button (as I was for the whole trip) but Disney being the gay-friendly locale it is...apparently we confused a few folks. A very nice CM congratulated us on our marriage :rotfl2:
First up for the group was a little Dinosaur action. I have to say that Aisling has hated this ride for years and refused to ride it. But she put on a brave face for Olivia who was a first timer.

As always, I also put on a brave face for the ride picture :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

And just because I'm a juvenile at times...

Next up we decided that we HAD to cool off

And cool off we did. The girls got drenched!!!

Unfortunately, we had a very short day scheduled at AK so we only had time to do one more thing and our favorite show won out over the FPs we had to battle the Yeti. I snapped a few photos on the way.

After the show, we all headed to Pizzafari for a quick lunch. After lunch it was time to say goodbye to our new friends. Aisling was so disappointed that Olivia couldn’t stay all 10 days of our trip. But her and Erin had to drive home and us Smiths had an afternoon that I had been looking forward to ALL YEAR!!!

Glad to see you're doing better. We missed you! :goodvibes.

Great photos of the safari. We usually get some good pics, but others just turn out fuzzy. The past few times we've gone the driver is just in a hurry.

I am so glad you finally passed that darn stone! Been there, done that, never want to again. BLAH!

I think my favorite picture is Aisling in the mist. :rotfl2:

That Olivia sure is a cutie, I love the drenched picture of both girls.

I'm sorry you've been feeling so bad! At least you passed the stone, so that's one thing out of the way. I hope you're back to 100% soon!

Wow, so many wonderful pictures! I love that close up of the gorilla and all of the FOTLK pics. The Dinosaur picture had me cracking up!

Great safari pics! Funny about the anniversary wishes! :rotfl: Sorry to hear about the medical stuff...hope you feel better soon!
