Ok folks...........many of you may find this a bit out there......hey most of my family does

We've booked our trip for November 6th thru November 12th 2016. This trip will include my brother and his family (DW, DD, DS) and my wife and I. So we've booked and have the dates (a process I combine with general budgeting guidelines) Now it's time to start fleshing out a touring plan. WHAT?o_O

Yup, 273 days in advance I'm working the plan. Let me explain. What I've worked out is a tentative park plan. I setup where we want to be on each day..........in general........key statement....IN GENERAL! So this is what I've come up with:

Sunday Nov 6th - Arrival Day
First flight out, arrive in Orlando before 10am
Off to AKV Jambo House with DME
Afternoon in Animal Kingdom
Return around 5:30 to meet up with my brother for dinner

Monday Nov 7th - MK for RD (All day event)
Welcome Show
See how long we can stay with out dropping
Wishes is not a priority on this day right now

Tuesday Nov 8th - HS in morning and EP in the evening

My nephew loves Darth Vader so Jedi Training would be great
TSMM is a definite FP+ target
Afternoon pool/rest possible but not determined yet
FP's at HS F&W at EP (hopefully)

Wednesday Nov 9th - 4 parks in ONE DAY (my brother is visiting relatives this day)

Initial plan is:
AK - first
HS - second
EP - third
MK - fourth
This is very much subject to change.......depends on a bunch of factors but MK will be last park

Thursday Nov 10th - EP in the morning and AK in the evening

F&W festival for lunch (no FP's in EP but want TT.....this is the tough one)
Hoping to do Rivers of Light in the evening

Friday Nov 11th - Morning at AKV (pool/lunch) Afternoon/Evening at MK
Easy morning hopefully pool and lite lunch
MK for FOF and FP's
Wishes fireworks

Saturday Nov 12th - Departure day :guilty:
Park yet to be determined (fill in as we get closer, ADR may determine?)
Late flight home after 8pm

So as you can see.............no ADR details.......a few attractions mentioned..........the key from my perspective is flexibility. This early I do like to have a thought of what we want to do but so many variables are yet to be determined. Park Hours, special events, EMH.......just to much to put any more meat on this........until at least ADR day (May 10th). What we can do with this plan........is move days around. Say my brother's off day changes...........NO WORRIES, we just move days around (except for Monday.......that's our first full day and we HAVE to do the MK (that's as close to locked I am right now)

Since this is my brothers family first visit we need to guide and give them flexibility also. Also we need to plan in pool time for the kids...........and REST time for me :P Also note we're not planning to be up and out for RD everyday...............expect for Monday. It works on that day because of excitement.....after that........not for a first trip. Our big event for this trip (other than having my brothers family with us) is our try for "4 Parks in 1 day"! We'll do that when my brother is off on his own...........that's a bit tough for first timers :D

You'll notice that I don't have anything set for Departure day. For this trip I'm doing that on purpose.......just in case I can't work a FP for TT (for my nephew) or something else we may have missed. Again flexibility.

This is first draft........it will change........but it will help on ADR day pick the restaurants we might add. Note I've got MK later in the trip.........which will help with a potential CRT or BOG resi :-)

More to come as the plan moves forward pixiedust:

It's never to early to plan...LoL But It seems we Jerseyans will all be heading down again, this Joisey Week... Have a tentative SSR booked, but as the 7 mos. comes up, I'll be LQQKING to try and score an AKV studio.... SO we may bump into ya..LoL Either way

The fact it's Jersey week makes it easier on the kids since they're off 2 days anyway! We've got 2 studio's at Jambo House...............hey lets make it "Jersey House"!!:P

Sounds good 2 me....

1 question though, Being that this is a presidential election, "Do the kids have a full day off on Election Day?" I believe ours do, which would mean I'm only pulling them outta school 2 full days.....I try and leave the Friday b4 you after school/work to get there that night, then leave the following Saturday evening....

Ya know I didn't even consider that o_O They may be off....................but now my wife and I will have to vote by mail

FWIW, I don't think it's too early to plan. You're less than 100 days away from your 180 for ADRs. Looks like a fun trip to me.Must be nice to be able to get a flight into MCO by 10AM. To get there prior to Noon I think we'd be getting up at 4AM or something like that. Not that I wouldn't sacrifice the sleep for WDW, but we'd be pretty beat for the rest of the day. :earsboy:

I'm planning our October 2016 trip actively, getting a rough breakdown for my February 2017 trip with my daughter, and tentatively planning November 2017, which will be just my husband and me. It's never too early to start planning!

We're planning the same week but we're not from NJ! Here in WV, we'll be off for election day and veterans day so we only have to miss 3 days of school. I figure it's going to be moderately busy but we love the November weather. One point I was going to make is that Friday will possibly be the Christmas party. Historically the party has been held on Thursday and Friday nights along with others through out November. Not sure if the holiday will make a difference in the party schedule or not. I guess we will wait and see.

One more sad news to point out....Usually the Friday b4 we leave, (it's generally the OSBORNES Spectacle of lights show's 1st day) Sadly we won't be able to see it this year , for it is Gone!!!

Oh believe me we get up early :P............depending on whether it's Philly or Newark NJ. But we love getting at least a 1/2 day at a park on arrival day. For this trip it shouldn't be bad.........we're not planning a late night for arrival day.......thank goodness :)

Excellent point............could impact us! Thanks for the heads up. I forget does that schedule come out before May?

I agree it is sad............fortunately we had an opportunity this past January to be at the FINAL day of the FINAL day of the event..........EVER :(

I would switch Epcot and ak on your every park day. Maybe things will change with ak with all the night time options, but I find that two hours before close at ak you can walk into most rides.

My trip for me, wife and daughter isn't till September 2017 and we've been planning already for a few months! lol. Watching 'Seeyareelsoon' keeps the excitement alive. So far doing POR in a royal room for 10 days (first day nothing planned in the parks but just enjoying our resort/disney downtown/springs....last day we leave 8 am or so). No water parks and possibly no Animal Kingdom...just magic, epcot, disney springs and hollywood. If we have time we'll throw in animal kingdom. Figuring on spending (dining plan, flight, NON park hopper, rental car) around 7000. Hoping of doing the MNSSHP and MAYBE something with Bibbity bobbity boutique.

Oh...Please, too early to plan you say? Please allow me to introduce myself, "Clark Griswald". I start months in advance with a blank work doc. and go from there until it looks similar to your plan.
Well done, sir...You MUST be from Jersey:)

Interesting thought. We're staying at AKV so that's the shortest trip for us............figured it be best start location. Planning to use FP's for HS.......we love TSMM, ToT, and RnR :) Then get a 4th at MK. Epcot will probably turn out to be our shortest stay.........

We'll see how things flesh out.

Never to soon to plan, IMO. I was starting to try to plan Summer 2017 for my family when my DH and I decided to switch our 10th anniversary trip this August to WDW. 4 nights at the Poly now booked :) I am always more happy when I am planning something.
