Let the BCV games BEGIN!!

Well, that was exciting! After a bunch of busy signals, and ringing forever, and waiting for 5 minutes on hold (not too bad) I secured 5 nights in a 1 bdrm in August at the BCV! yeah!!

Now if the computers don't blow up and over reserve I should be all set. (kept most of my 'backup' reservation until I get that piece of paper in my hand!)

This may sound contrarian but since I'm trying to book a time outside of the 7 month window, I think I'm going to wait til later today or tomorrow to book. Since BCV is only 15% full and I am not trying to book the most popular time of year (we want end of October), I don't think there is much risk that we won't get our time. I'm new, but does this make sense?

I wouldn't wait too long to book for the end of October. That is when the Food & Wine Festival begins and it is a very popular time. Add to that the fact that the BCV are the closest DVC to World Showcase. I know when we've tried to book the BWV at the 7 month window (we own at OKW) for the same time period we often have to use the waitlist and it doesn't always come through.

Personally, I wouldn't wait... I believe they can only make reservations for the portion of rooms that have been sold. Since only 15% of the rooms have been sold, there are more people competing for the same dates.

October is pretty popular. Schools that are on modified schedules will be off in October (my kids will be out of school from 10/10-10/21). Also, a lot of people like to go to MNSSHP, and October is Choice season... prices are low, crowds aren't horrible, and the weather is nice.

Well, I went out this morning and called back at 1:30 and got my reservation!

October 26th through November 2nd in a 2BR. She put in a request for an Epcot view too!

We are psyched! Food & Wine, the Halloween Party and I've heard that Typhoon Lagoon should be open til November 1st.

Now we just need 5 more people to fill up our 2 BR!!
