Here's the scoop......sharing Disney with a good friend is GREAT!!!
Just the 2 of us. I'm Linda & my friend is Deb. We've been friends for 20+ years! We met when our sons were in kindergarten. Now, we work together at the same doctors' office! The past couple of years, we had talked about going to Disney...nothing happened. This year, Deb suffered a heart attack. Well, that changed everything with me. That was it! I asked her if she'd like to check out the Flower & Garden Show. So.......we did!!!
We landed in Orlando by 9:30am & boarded ME on our way to POP! At checkin, the cast member noticed that Deb was going to celebrate her birthday & supplied the birthday button. She also gave me a "celebrating" button. Guess what......our room was ready!!! We had requested the 50's section & it was there! After dropping off some stuff, we headed off the MK.
Now you remember that Deb & I work together, another friend from the office was there too! So we met her & her friend at the ice cream parlor. Without realizing, the parade was getting ready to start. So we found a good spot & enjoyed it together.
Very cute parade! The characters came down off the floats & interacted with people.
After that, we had ADR for the Plaza. It's such a cute & overlooked restaurant.
Of course, we ran into this lady on our way in....
Deb's youngest son actually works at Disney. He works in an office that's located over Casey's Corner. So......he was able to join us for lunch. How cool is that to have your lunchbreak in MK!!!
After enjoying MK for awhile, we headed over to EPCOT to catch Paul Revere & the Raiders. However, on the way over, we stopped to listen to these guys...
They were very good! On to see Paul Revere...
What a terrific show!!! Would you believe Paul is 72!?!?!?!?! He gave a great performance for anyone, not only a 72 year old guy!!!
Then it was back over to MK for awhile.
We needed to get some rest. We had a very early wakeup call for the next morning......

Although, my DH probably won't let me go without him!

I don't have to worry about my DH. He went to Disney ONE time. That was it. He said he doesn't need to go back.
That's myself, Deb, her son & his friend It was great!!! The only bad thing about it was that we would've loved to stay on them longer! It was a 2 hour tour, but it seemed to go by sooooooo quickly. Deb & I were a little hesitant as we were "in training". However, once we got the hang of it.......look out!
See......
While still laughing at my navigational skills, we made our way over to

We made our way (through the shops) to the Riverboat. In past trips, I had never taken that boat ride. It was very relaxing. Here are some pics from the boat.
