I'm new to this board but usually found over at trip planning. My oldest daughter is gay and I just wanted to brag...She is marching in our local Pride Parade this coming Sunday! Cross your fingers for us that the weather is good! Anyone else from Portland OR if so...hope to see you there.

My DW's father's approach is just to assume that everyone is queer friendly. He somehow manages to pull it off such that anyone who isn't would never tell him or say anything to anyone who'd report back to him--without saying anything he manages to convey that it's a mark of shame not to be queer friendly.

You sound supportive and proud of your DD so I'd imagine many people will want to come with you because pride can be contagious.

The Parade is this coming Sunday. So far we've had great weather this week..but it is Portland after all .
