OK, I am SO confused!!! Is it a new rule that there is no sharing TS meals on the DDP? My DH and I are taking our two boys(who will be 10 and 7 at the time of the trip) to Disney in October. I was really considering the DDP this time, but can my DH and I no longer share a TS meal(using 1 credit instead of 2)?? We had friends that went in November, and they shared so it wasn't so much food. I will really be deterred from using the DDP if this is now the case because I know that neither one of us would be able to eat all that food at one sitting! Please clarify this for me!!!!:confused3 :confused3

I have never heard of such a rule. Except at all you can eat buffet or family style places, of course.

I don't get your problem. So what if you can't share:confused3 . If you did share, what did you do with the extra credit? Seems like you would just be wasting credits by sharing. You do not have to order everything if you do not want to eat it all. You can skip dessert and still use your DDP. I guess I just don't see the point in sharing- what are you saving the credits for? Next trip? I'm sure this sharing thing is logical in some way- I just don't see it.

Well you could use sharing as a way to save some credits to do signature dining which takes 2 TS credits.

DH and I shared a TS for lunch, and then another TS for dinner, so that we could still enjoy all the food, but spread it out a little rather than have it all at one sitting. I'm the kind of person that likes to have a taste of everything, so even when eating at local restaurants, DH and will often split an app, entree, and dessert, so that we get to taste everything, but not get too full at the same time....b/c if it's there, I will eat it! :rotfl:

Except at a sitdown or buffet, no one would know if you were sharing a meal. I agree that you do get a lot of food and if you order all of it, and don't eat it, it is pretty hard to save it! We loved the dining plan and used the idea of saving credits for signature dining.

I don't think you will have issues sharing TS meals between people on the DDP.

Where it becomes an issue is when you try to share with people who are not on DDP. Or...you save credits by sharing and try to use the credits to treat people who are not on DDP. You're likely to be disappointed if you try either of those strategies, but just straight sharing should be fine...except buffets and special events.

That's a very common effect of rumors. In some cases, people start rumors just to cause confusion. I doubt necessarily that is the case in this case, but do be aware that you need to filter everything you read online in that context.

As Jim indicated, you cannot use your credits for meals for people who aren't listed on your hotel reservation (which, I suppose, could be considered a form of "sharing"), but all indications are you can still share the food off your plate with other diners at your table.

Nennie, I know this is'nt the topic but I remembered reading about really bad service at (I think) Ohanas. Was this ever resolved?

My problem wasn't bad TS service (our TS service was great actually!), but that our cards stopped working, and we weren't able to use all of our CS and Snacks (and had a rude manager at the BC marketplace treat me like I was trying to steal cookies, lol). We sent our complaint letter, but haven't heard anything yet. When I do hear back, I'll bump my original thread with the details though! Thanks for asking!

When you have trouble with your room keys ("stuff" happens), you should address this with the hotel front-desk immediately, at the resort you're checked into. No one else is in a good position to help you remedy a problem with your room keys.

Don't want to hi-jack this thread, but I did address this with the hotel (Beach Club)! Believe me I did! LOL!! Several times!! The concierge even escorted me over to the marketplace at one point to try to assist me in making a DDP purchase. It was definitely a "room key issue" that affected my DDP experience.
