Hey all,
Just got back a little over a week ago for our short
guilty
trip to WDW for Marathon Weekend. The wife ran the Goofy Challenge, and we couldn't be prouder. She's a serious runner (fastest marathon is 3:18:25), but she was diagnosed with a stress fracture in her right foot five weeks prior to the race and sprained her opposite ankle a week before the race.
Anyhow, the trip was the usual Disney magic. We got to try out FastPass+ and had no real issues with it. I'll reserve judgement for a more prolonged trip this summer.
The highlight of the trip, though was meeting Elsa and Anna in Epcot. It was the number thing that our five-year-old Juliet wanted to do. Anyhow, we met them on Saturday, after Juliet's Mickey Mile at WWS.
I got in line at 2:45 and was told that I'd be standing for the 4:45 meet/greet time. I totally expected it, so it wasn't a big deal. However, surprise surprise, they managed to move the line fast enough so that we were seen at 3:30. A 45 minute wait was a blessing!
Anyhow, Juliet got to sing one verse of Let It Go with Elsa, and it made the trip! What lovely girls they have working there!
