So yesterday I went to Sam's Club, and was in the check-out line. The girl in front of me had a huge cart of stuff, and when she was given her total ($179 and change), she pulled singles, 10's, and 20's out of a ziploc bag of cash. The cashier was slow counting it, in fact she counted it three times. The girl kept rolling her eyes, saying things like "I canNOT believe this" and "let's just go", because the cashier was taking "too long" to count this cash. I'm a pretty patient person, I wasn't bothered one bit by it.
Anyway, the cashier finally looks up and says "This isn't right" to which the girl huffily said of course it was or something to that effect. The cashier said, no, you gave me too much money! She counted it out to the girl, and sure enough the girl had given her about $30 too much!
The girl did not even thank her, least of all apologize. She just grabbed the money out of her hand, waited for the receipt and coins, and stalked off.
Not really much point to this story, just that I am so glad it was not me who behaved like that!
