Can anyone tell me the shortest way of getting to the differenct parks. I can walk but
long distances are too much. I rented a evc for MK when I visited last time which was great
otherwise it would not have been possible.

I will give you the example that when I went to MK we took a car and parked no problem
then we walked to the boat , then off the boat to the gates etc etc. I found this very
tiring and was so glad when it was over.

I realize that WDW there is alot of walking however I am a person who will not give in
to my disability. I realize that the evc is only option for the parks but I wonder about
getting to the parks. Best Option is it take the Bus transport or take my car as far as
I can go.????????

Can anyone tell me.

I think the bus would be a better option. It leaves you off at MK at about the smae place where you get off the boat, but you would be cutting off the walking from where the car is parked to the stop where you get on the boat.
Have you thought of renting an ecv from one of the off-site vendors instead of renting one at the parks? That way ou would have one available and not have to worry about whether there are any left when you get to the parks. most of the WDW buses are equipped with lifts and tie downs for wheelchairs and ecvs. You would not have to rent one for our entire stay, but could do it for few days. The companies drop off the ecv at your hotel and pick it up when you are done.
Here are some of the companies DIS posters ave mentioned renting from.

Sue is right, renting an ECV would be your best option. That way you can pace yourself, preserve your energy throuhout the day rather than tire yourself out early.
