Less than satisfied

It's easy to...

My point is that his post is not about whether or not there was a doctor, when/how/where the heimlic was done, or anything pertaining to his medical situation. Others have attempted to make that the point.

All he was attempting to convey through his post was his dissatisfaction in the way his wife was "handled" in a trying time.

I see nothing wrong with that. Looking for support and venting is part of what message boards are for, after all.

It's easy to pick and choose comments out of context to support your position but let me restate a couple of points that you ommited.

1. The idea that a nurse on the ship would blantely lie to a passenger and tell them the ship does not have a doctor just doesn't ring true. Either there was a serious language barrier or some selective memory. Once again, might as well call him a liar!

2. The OP has yet to state where/why/when the heimlic manuever was performed. Was this done on the ship or while ashore? How is that even relevant to the situation? He got off the ship for medical care due to his insurance.

3. Why wait till now on an internet BB to complain? If this happend to my wife, the moment I got back on the ship I'd drag the GS clerk to the ship's captain and let them know about it. Sounds like he did complain while on the ship and when he got off. And right, you're going to drag the GS clerk up to the Captain, that's just plain funny.

4. Everything posted on this board - including the OP - is biased in one way or another. No one is going to post the details that don't help the case we are trying to make. Can't argue with that. You've been doing that the whole thread.

5. Again, if I got back on board and found out the nurse has lied to my wife about there not being a doctor on board guess where the first place I'm heading to after I'm done with the GS clerk? Yup, gonna go talk to a nurse and the ship's doctor. The guy had a freaking broken rib and splean injury, you're really tough on the internet aren't you!!!

People are free to post pretty much whatever they want on this board but that also mean that people are free to agree, disagree or not believe what you posted. When you post problems on a public forum, don't be suprised if everyone does not get on board the why you thought they would. I learned that after my first or second post on a public forum. I really don't think he asked everyone to get on board. He simply was hoping his wife would have been treated with a little compassion by a company who thrives off of that reputation.

Peace

~Mike

I'm not a Disney hater and I usually am the first to defend Disney when people start bashing, but this one seems very sincere. It sounds like a situation I'd be very upset about if I was in the same situation. Hopefully I'll never have to find out.

Once again Gibraltairian, I hope you're feeling better and good luck with the claim on your sunglasses.

This is my first post on this site yes.I am a liar no
I do not need to or have claimed or have any intention of claiming for anything else than my sunglasses which really is not that important to me either. The only reason why It is in the public eye is because I have posted The E-mail correspondence I have had with disney.
I still even after having read all your posts feel that the treatment given to my wife was not the most adequate considering the trauma she was going through. Please be sensible in your comments of course my wife explained that I had to stay ashore because a doctor had told me that I could die otherwise, remember that this is the only information we or she had at that moment. There was no language barrier on board as both of us speak write and think in either English or Spanish, the language barrier only existed in Italy where the doctor had to use a translating site to give us information on the problem.
I chose to go ashore to seek medical advice with the medical centre knowing i was doing so because even though I was insured I would still have to pay an excess for treatment on board.
My intention on posting this was only to share a problem I had hoping i would feel better by doing so.
My only point is that I I I I feel that my wife should have got better treatment not special treatment or exclusive treatment when she got back on board treatment any sensible adult would give someone in that situation. All she did was explain the problem and make all the neccesary arrangements. Everything else has been added to clarify the story.
I have already accepted DCL's apology and hope that my experience will help for any other similar situation to be dealt with caringly by DCL staff.
Many heart felt thanks to all those with best wishes and my best wishes to all posting on this thread even if I am not in agreement with some of your comments.

....do we know if the CC cat is ok?:rolleyes1

Ok...Op has explained himself several times and is in communication with DCL so nothing else we really need to discuss.....since it is taking a downward turn.
