Six years ago, I made a reservation for a room at the Disneyland Hotel using points, before the point charts were out for the next year. The reservation was politely made for me with the understanding that, if the required points changed, I would be called to OK the increased point usage.
Fast forward to today. When I called to make the reservation for the Grand Californian, well within the 11 month window, today I was told that the point charts were not out yet and I could check the web site if I cared to, to see when they came out. No effort was made to say WHEN the 2006 point charts would be out. No reservation was made for me.
I think the good old days might have, indeed, been better, at least for reservation services in DVC.
