We have two different sets of dates in mind..

September 21-27 Boardwalk villa or
November 5-11 Beach Club

looking to see anyones thoughts or if you have been to Disney these times of year to tell which might be less busy...I had a much easier time getting a room in September than November, infact could not even touch a moderate for the November dates...any information would be helpful!!!

September would be slower, but hotter and more humid. The peak of hurricane season is Sept 10, but anytime in Aug/Sept/Early to Mid Oct is pretty risky. You wouldn't have many special events going on (i.e. the Food and Wine Festival or MNSSHP) so crowds theoretically would be lighter. I don't know how long the Free Dining is going on, but that would only impact your ability to get into a table service location.

We've been 5x in September and loved the short lines.

We stayed at ASMu last year from Nov 1-6. We found the crowds to be on the lighter side at every park except MK. MK was dead in the morning, but a nightmare in the evening, because of the parade and fireworks. I hope that helps make your decision a little easier. We also took advantage of the extra magic hours, and the crowds were even lighter, no waits. We walked onto Everest, Rock N Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, and Peter Pan.
Another thing to think about, there's free dining in September, so that will draw bigger crowds. Have a great t rip!!!:goodvibes

We've actually been at those exact two times. I've been twice in Novemeber. The first time, in 1998, was extremely quiet. We did get hit by a hurricane that year. It was no big deal. Just one REALLY cold day with rain. The rest of the time we Canucks and the Brits were the only ones at the waterpark
;)

The second time we went in November was in 2003. The weather was unseasonably hot which was great. But, the crowds were far greater than the previous trip. I asked around at the hotel, and it seems that the beginning of November is "Jersey week" and crowds have been increasing every year.

The one time we went in September (2005), it was much hotter but not bad really. It was dead quiet... but we did go right after Katrina. It was a very enjoyable time to go but as my DDs have gotten older, it's harder to pull them out right at the beginning of school.

Both times I had to contend with hurricaine warnings. That did put a damper on my planning a bit.

Also, the one major thing I didn't like about the November trip is that it didn't feel very seasonal. I like to start thinking "Christmas" when November rolls around, and I just wasn't in the mood when I came back from the trip. I'm from Canada... we hope for snow at that time :goodvibes

This year, we're going to try out April. I know it'll be busier, but the weather should be nice :thumbsup2

EDIT: SO, to answer your question In terms of straight "quietness," September is the answer.

September 21-26: Free dining promotion; restaurants will be BUSY, but parks likely will not.
November 5-11: "Jersey Week" - New Jersey schools effectively shut down (11/6 for elections since many schools are used as polling places; 11/8 and 11/9 for teacher conference) so the entire state* goes to Disney World that week, plus that weekend is Festival of the Masters at Downtown Disney, plus it's the end of the Food & Wine at Epcot, plus it's Super Soap Weekend at Disney Hollywood Studios.

You decide :teeth:

*only a slight exaggeration

Not an exaggeration at all. Every public school in the state is closed for the convention and Monday the 11th is Veteran's Day, all us Jersey parents (and teachers) can take 2 days off and get a 10 day vacation. We know a deal when we see one. :jumping1: My ticker tells the tale!
