We have two different sets of dates in mind..
September 21-27 Boardwalk villa or
November 5-11 Beach Club
looking to see anyones thoughts or if you have been to Disney these times of year to tell which might be less busy...I had a much easier time getting a room in September than November, infact could not even touch a moderate for the November dates...any information would be helpful!!!
We've actually been at those exact two times. I've been twice in Novemeber. The first time, in 1998, was extremely quiet. We did get hit by a hurricane that year. It was no big deal. Just one REALLY cold day with rain. The rest of the time we Canucks and the Brits were the only ones at the waterpark
The second time we went in November was in 2003. The weather was unseasonably hot which was great. But, the crowds were far greater than the previous trip. I asked around at the hotel, and it seems that the beginning of November is "Jersey week" and crowds have been increasing every year.
The one time we went in September (2005), it was much hotter but not bad really. It was dead quiet... but we did go right after Katrina. It was a very enjoyable time to go but as my DDs have gotten older, it's harder to pull them out right at the beginning of school.
Both times I had to contend with hurricaine warnings. That did put a damper on my planning a bit.
Also, the one major thing I didn't like about the November trip is that it didn't feel very seasonal. I like to start thinking "Christmas" when November rolls around, and I just wasn't in the mood when I came back from the trip. I'm from Canada... we hope for snow at that time
This year, we're going to try out April. I know it'll be busier, but the weather should be nice
EDIT: SO, to answer your question In terms of straight "quietness," September is the answer.
