It's *officially* up on YouTube now. The trailer premiered in front of Skyfall when it opened in the UK last month, and it was getting bootlegged all over the internet and getting taken down just as quickly. They posted it on their official FB page, so it sounds like it's up for good now.

Russell sounds OK to me. I'll hold judgement till I get to see the rest. He's such an awesome actor that I think he'll be fine.

Remember, I'm a Les Mis newbie -- but that gives me chills. I got my 13-yr old son hooked on it -- he goes around singing "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" all the time.

Loved seeing and hearing Colm Wilkinson at the bishop.

I hope so. I guess I'm just used to hearing a rich, operatic baritone as Javert, and his singing sounded more like shouting in rhythm.

I watched a youtube video that explained how the actors were actually singing live during the filming and not lip synching to prerecorded tracks. It showed how they could experiment and "act" more with their parts this way. I'm hoping that scene with Crowe was just an acting choice and it will all make more sense within the movie. Other than that, I think this film looks amazing!

OMG!! I hadn't seen the international trailer yet ~ thank you SO MUCH!! We never go to the movies anymore, but I can hardly WAIT for this. LES MIS (along with PHANTOM...) is the music of my generation.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I am more exited for this movie than The Hobbit. I just hope it's better than the 1998 non-musical version with Claire Danes.

A friend on mine is on the SAG Awards Nominating Committee and she has invited me to several screenings of various films. One of them is Les Mis!

I'll report in after I've seen it. I'll have to buy an extra box of Kleenex to make it through the movie. I've seen the Broadway show 3 or 4 times. Cried each time. I can't wait!

Sure thing! I know what you mean where someone says to look for such & such a moment, then when it happens, because you were kind of waiting for it, it doesn't affect you ad much as it would have if you were just allowed to watch it spontaneously.

Definitely!

I remember seeing the show on a school field trip, and the girls in our group were bawling for most of Act 2 (over Eponine, of course!), and they were still going when the show ended. One of my friends stopped to throw her tissues away and just started laughing...the whole garbage can was filled with tissues!
