I know this is not much help, but I like them both equally. They both have great food and atmosphere. If I were you, I would pick based on the type of food you are in the mood for (steak or pasta). You can't go wrong with either one!
BTW, I have a 13 year old boy and he likes them both.
Well, since I don't know you or your likes/dislikes I'll tell you what my choice would be and why. OK?
I'd go to Chef's de France instead of Tutto Itaila. Generally because you should be able to find good (better?) Italian food in your own hometown for substantially less than at Tutto. French food (even the americanized version served at Chef's) is a bit harder to find locally.
I agree with both of the previous posters... if you are much more in the mood for Italian than French food that particular night, go for Tutto. But it is definitely more difficult to find authentic French food than Italian here in the U.S. I also much prefer the restaurant ambiance of Les Chefs to that of Tutto Italia. On select nights, Les Chefs has Remy come out to greet you at your table! Your daughter might really enjoy that, although I've also heard that the Italian waiters at Tutto are quite handsome... so maybe it's a trade-off
I'm thinking we are going to stick w/ Les Chefs as I am extremely picky about my Italian food! Don't eat French all that often so we probably wont know the difference lol!
I would say go to Les Chefs de France. We just had dinner tonight at Tutto Italia, and it was VERY disappointing. We had been there a few years back and it seems to have gone down hill in the quality of food and service. I ordered the Lasagna "Al Forno" and it came out luke warm and tasted very mediocre. The waitress seemed to be rushing us out the door since we got there. Really odd experience. My husband and I were really disappointed. I don't know if it has something to do with the popularity of the Via Napoli next door??? But Les Chefs de France was a definite winner last year we went.
