Length of time between Parks???

Now with the announcement of EMH, we have adjusted our plans somewhat. What kind of time estimate would you give to get from MK to MGM? How about from MK to Epcot? We are planning to "park hop" in order to catch everything we want to see.

Well, this is kind of a tough one. MK to Epcot is easy, you just take the monorail from MK to the TTC and pick up the monorail to Epcot from there. The other parks, you have to go back to your hotel from the park you are at, and then wait at the hotel for the bus to the next park you want to visit. It can be done, but you might be waiting a while at the hotels or at the parks to get on the busses. What hotel are you staying in, and what time of year?

If you have a car, allow about 30-40 minutes just because it takes time to get to your vehicle, drive to the next park, park the car, and get into the new park.

If you don't have a car, to get from MK to MGM you could always catch a launch or the monorail to one of the MK hotels and catch the MGM bus from there.

Thanks for such a quick reply. We are staying at WL and are leaving in 2 1/2 weeks. I was hoping not to waste 1 hour or more just trying to jump between parks.

Well, sorry I couldn't be of more help, but if I were you I would take Micca's suggestion and hop a monorail to one of those resorts and hop a bus from there. You still might be about an hour though depending on park volume and the timing , we waited about 30 minutes for one park bus because we got to the depot right after that bus left. But you should have fun no matter what! Good luck and have a great trip!!!

I allow an hour for travel....no matter what. Chances are it'll be less but better safe than sorry.

There's no need to return to your hotel in order to get from one park to another. There is transportation service from each of the parks to the other parks.

From the MK, you would take the monorail or boat launch to the TCC and board a bus from there to MGM or AK. You can take a second monorail to EPCOT.

For MGM <--> EPCOT, take the boat launch to the International Gateway entrance. Or take a bus to the main entrance.

Buses run directly between AK and the other 3 parks. Travel between the AK and the other parks can take up to an hour.
