Does anyone know how much the passes cost for adult, child 9 and under? How do they work? Can they be used from check- in to check- out only, or for the remainder of the day on check out?

The cost will vary due to the number of days you stay -- roughly $50/day for a child, a little less per day the longer you stay. I believe the passes are good until midnight on the day you check out.

The other poster is correct. Pass is good until midnight of the day of check out. When we have UPH we do more since you can do water parks and DQ.

To give you an idea of the cost......This is what we were quoted for our 9 night 10 day stay.....

Adults $401.53

Children $321.65

We are still debating this issue......Our flight home leaves at 11;15 am, so we are losing an entire day right there. I already have an AP for myself, so the others are thinking of the 7 day hopper plus. We are also fitting in a wedding on one of our days there.

Hope this helps!!!

You can also have them take the first/last days off your UPH. That way you wouldn't be losing a day.

I thought you could only do this if you were buying them at the resort? Will they do this if you are booking a package?

No they can't do this if it is a package or bought ahead of time. Can only be done at the resort.

$401.53 per adult for 9 nights is a Disney Club rate. With taxes, the regular rate is $456.89 at check-in and $418.55 when purchased in advance with no other discount.

There is an excellent breakdown of ticket prices for 2003 on WDWIG.com .

If you are planning on spending any days at another theme park (USF/IOA, Sea World, Busch Gardens) or spending a day off from the parks, then the length of stay pass is not the best bang for your buck. You will still be paying for that day even if you do not use it and when your stay is over, you have nothing left.

On the other hand, a 7-day PHP (with 4 pluses) costs $309.94 per adult with your Disney Club discount ($326.97 when purchased in advance from Disney with no discount). Unless you're planning numerous visits to PI, DQ or waterparks, the 7-day PHP is probably a better purchase.

Wait - is it really true that I can have the first and last days left off? Does everyone in the room have to buy one? If I check into AKL concierge at 12pm on a Thurs. and out at 10am on a Mon., can I get a 3-day UPH? I'd written off the UPH idea b/c I knew we didn't want to spend the first day or last day at any parks.

Oops.....I'm soooooo sorry. I forgot that I was quoted the Disney Club rates. I'm sorry for any confusion that I may have caused...

Yes it's true. And you can be the only one getting the UPH, too. All of the restrictions usually placed on UPH's (must be for entire length of stay, everyone in party must have it, etc) are only for packages and advance purchase. When you get them at the resort, they have the flexibility to do a lot of things with the UPH that CRO/WDTC can't do and usually doesn't even know about.

In cases like yours, dropping the arrival and departure days when purchasing the UPH at resort check in will more than offset the increase in cost of paying gate price for 3 days ($179.99) over the advance purchase price of one for 5 days ($289.68).

Everyone in the room does have to purchase one, it's on the room key. Also, you can get the cost for them (and the official information regarding them) at the Disney World official website (so much more user friendly than it used to be).

I'm reading some conflicting information...guess I'll wait and find out when I check in...Thanks, though:D

When we have done it we weren't on a package. If you are on a package then they can't do anything with the UPH's.

Also not everyone has to have one if you purchase them at check in.

So it all comes down to do you have a package? If you do then I wouldn't consider the UPH for your stay. If you don't have a package then purchase the UPH's at check in and ask for them to take the first and last days off.

OK, well that's great b/c I am NOT on a package. DD and I also have one day left on our last Park Hoppers, so I thought I'd use that one of the days...maybe our first. Anyway, I will try and buy UPH's at check-in for the other 3 days. Thank you!
