Lenght of Stay

OK guys, need an answer to this. Is there a total amount of days you can book at a DVC resort? I thought I read somewhere that they limit your stays. I can understandy why. They don't want people to spend the winter at a DVC resort. I noticed on the resales some people have thousands of points. Do they book a stay, leave for a few days and return, or maybe book at different resorts and then move? Not that I will ever have thousands of points, but would like to know how it works.

I'm not aware of a provision limiting the length of a stay.

There is a 2000 point maximum ownership at any resort and 5000 point total maximum....and even there, one spouse could own 5000 and another 5000 for the other spouse.

What would you do with 10,000 points???

If we had 10,00 points , I could bring some guests along and give them their own villa. I could spend more than 1 weekend in a DVC resort during a stay. I would wear out my Annual Pass and maybe consider upgrading it. I might consider going somewhere other than Disney. Haven't tired of that yet. I would have the time to do all the things that each trip we swear we will find time for. But most of all, I would have to give up full time work (boo, hoo) in order to have enough time free to go.
