I've loved this combination on beavertails (Epcot - Canada) and dutch babies for years, but, duh, it never occured to me I could use it on anything.

This morning I had eggo waffles with syrup and lemon juice. :lovestruc Oh man! I've found a new vice!

Is this common and I've just been stupid all these years?

I totally thought this was going to be another thread about that awful cleansing diet where you only consume water, lemon juice and maple syrup! That sounds like a really interesting combination on waffles, though. I've never heard of anyone eating that, but it might be worth trying sometime.

I had totally forgotten about that diet! Maybe I can fool myself into thinking squeezing lemon over my waffles with maple syrup will make me lose weight.:lmao:

That sounds like an interesting combination. I may try it on my waffles tomorrow.

I thought the same thing. :rotfl2: I'm still trying to figure out how lemon juice and maple syrup are good together.

Dutch babies are giant puff pancake things baked in the oven (made of eggs, flour, and milk.) We eat them with maple syrup, powdered sugar and fresh lemon juice.

I thought it was the master cleanse too, and would have referred you to a very helpful message board. Because I like the cleanse, but you have to do it right.

There was a restaurant in Seattle that made the most awesome, thin, waffles and served them with a wedge of lemon along with powdered sugar and syrup....yuuuummmmmmm. There is just something about it! Alas, the restaurant is gone...

2 weeks ago hubby cut a recipe out of the Relish Magazine..for something called Fluffy Pancake..guess what it turned out to be?..what you guys call a Dutch Baby..lol..I made him one for breakfast this morning..but he didn't want the lemon juice, put fresh berries on it instead!
