Not sure if this is the right place or not but can Legoland be done in one day if we don't do the water park portion?

You can do it on a non busy day in a half of a day as long as you are just doing the rides. If you want to really look at all the lego displays and miniland it will take longer but it is a very small park geared toward the under 12 crowd. My kids outgrew and it became boring for them as the rides are all little rides and very quick rides.

Our friends went last month and the adults hated it. When I asked why, (I swear this is true), her response was "It was for little kids". Ummmm, yeah. That's kind of the point right? :rotfl2: They do have three kids 6 and under who loved it, but since mom and dad were expecting extreme rides, they're not going back. I have NO idea why they thought there would be extreme roller coasters at Legoland. :confused3

My DH and DD love Legos so even though she's ten, they're trying to figure out a way to go this summer. I think it'll be a fun way to spend one day. :goodvibes

I totally love it! You can do it in one day but you won't be able to get all the rides, shows and also look around in. We usually skip the movies/shows since we have seen most of them before at some point and hit miniland last.

We Always do one day (have been about 4 times). Was just there Tuesday and even my 13 yo DS still enjoys it as well as my 3 yo DD. Water park is fun but it is cool there most of the time, at least for us. Oh also although it saidit opened at 9-6 it really didn't open as in we could get through gate to stoller rental area but that was all until 930 when one side opened. MaybeI missed it online ?? Just FYI

We were there on Tuesday too! It was our first time and my kids (6 and 9) loved it. We were soooo cold that day. It was weird about the 9:30 opening. Also for the OP google McDonald's legoland code, you can get a free child's ticket with the purchase of an adults ticket. Softens the blow after buying WDW tickets too!

Definitely! We spent one day there last Spring Break - got there before opening and were done by 4:00. We didn't do the movies or "build it" areas, though - seemed like "filler activities" to us.

We enjoyed it for a day - our youngest loved it, our oldest liked it OK, but thought the rides were lame and way too short. The Miniland was the best part of the park.

What drove me crazy about the park was the inefficiency of it: one train on most of the roller coaster tracks, so took forever to load/unload. One register open at every restaurant, every gift-shop. Everything just took longer than it seemed it should.

I wrote a short trip report/review about our trip, if you are interested.

Why would they be expecting extreme coasters at Legoland?????I'm an adult and I loved the park,I knew what to expect and loved every bit of it,it's not a park I'll visit as often as the other Florida parks, all of which I have AP's for so no AP's for Legoland, but I would definitely hope to go back soon. The coasters are for kids but I really liked them as I pretty much love 99% of coasters, the theming and mini land were incredible, the food was below par as there wasn't great variety and the Market restaurant by the front of the park just wasn't very good.I ate a burger that was very good and the apple fries are a great snack.I did hear they've opened some new places to eat since I visited so maybe it's gotten better.I visited on a slow day and got there at park opening, did everything in the park except for the real little kid rides and spent the entire day which sounds like what you plan to do,we stayed until park closing and since the park closed at 5pm we might not have been able to do everything if the park was crowded.I would say as long as you're not visiting in a peak time you should be able to do it in 1 day.

Yes Legoland is a one day park. Just make sure to buy your tickets in advance. I had hoped for a discount(ended up using AAA) we waited in line for tickets for a very long time. It was busy the day we went (Easter week last year) but we had no problem getting through the park.

Buying tickets on the website is a little cheaper than the gate and you do not have to wait in the line. I waited hoping for a free kid ticket from legos, bread or soda. I never got one but a good number of people in line did.

Thank you all for your responses. We are actually going to skip the disney parks next year and are doing 2 days at Universal, 2 days at Sea World, 1 day at Lego Land and a nothing day.

Our kids loved it so we did too..,very nice and clean. The fact that their are no extreme rides made it a haven for little kids.

Can adults ride on the roller coasters, or are they too small for adults?

I plan on taking my kids there next week. We used the McDonalds code and got the buy1, get 1 discount. I thought it would be good for my 8yo who doesn't like overly thrilling rides. She will only ride Goofini at the MK and Test Track at Epcot.

Yes the adults can ride the coasters, they're actually very fun. There's a jr wood coaster,a jr suspended coaster,a wild mouse style coaster with some nice drops and a small coaster that was updated by Legoland adding an indoor castle section. There's also a unique flat ride called wave blasters or something similar where you stand in a waverunner style cart that goes around and the way you steer the cart affects the way the cart rides in the water and at times gives a slinging sensation like you're going to fall out,I rode this like three times, very fun.

Great!!! Thanks for the info. :)

A lot depends on size. I did a fairly extensive review in the disABILITIES Forum and they were not very accommodating for larger people.

That is true, the coasters seats are not big,for example on most wood coasters you can get two adults per seat,on the wood coaster at Legoland it's at most one adult and a 5 year old kid,no way two adults fit in one seat. That coaster is also only one train so if the crowds are large this lack of capacity could make for a long line.I'm 5"10 200 pounds and I fit in fine on all the coasters but if I was 240+ it may have been a problem on some of them.
