Sorry if this is on the wrong board if it should be somewhere else just re-direct me!!
Just wondered what people thought of Legoland? We are planning a trip next year and were thinking about visiting. it's only about 45 mins away from orlando so not far but only want to do so if it's worth it as there is an excellent legoland in windsor here in the uk and we might be better just visiting there at another time and devoting our time to orlando (and kennedy space centre) this time. My sons will be 4 and 1 and the oldest loves Lego.

There is an excellent Lego land in Windsor here in the UK so maybe we should leave the Florida one and visit there instead?

Sorry part of my message has posted twice there! Ignore the bottom sentence!!!

Kids that age will like the rides. The Lego displays are amazing and I wish they would have a separate ticket with wrist bands to only see the displays,

We visited the one in the UK even though my kids were very young and my mother was very skeptical. Turned out we couldn't drag HER out of the park!! Legoland is a cool park. IMHO it's DEFINITELY worth a visit.

They are the perfect age to take them... my son was 10 last year when we took him and he was too big for a lot of the stuff!

Legoland is really great for kids your kids' ages. Especially if they like Legos. By the time they are around 10, they will be too old for Legoland.

However, since you have a Legoland near your home in the UK, I am not sure if it is worth a trip to Legoland while you are here in the US. I don't know if there is anything extra in Legoland Florida that Legoland UK doesn't have (in fact I haven't been to Legoland Florida - I've only been to the one in California).

Thanks everyone! Think we'll seriously think about going since everyone thinks on the whole it's worth it. Haha still a year way but so excited!
Thanks again.

we went 2 years ago when DD was 6 and we felt it was really geared for younger kids. Some of the rides were really for kids even younger than her. But she loves lego. DH and I thought it was Ok but haven't rushed to go back and DD hasn't asked. If your kids are younger and real lego fans it's worth a day trip if you have the extra time and money. We went in January and it wasn't crowded at all but the lines were long because they did not seem to be operating at full capacity. I wouldn't skip a day at WDW to go that is for sure ;)

With kids in that age range, Legoland would be a great idea!

That being said, by most accounts, the Legoland in FL is not as nice as the one in England.

My kids (5 and 8 ) really enjoy legoland. It won't take you a whole day if you don't want it to, which might make for a nice easy day. But we typically spend the whole day, about 9 hours.

That said, we are locals so we can get really good deals on tickets. We bought $25 tickets through a fundraiser this last time and honestly, that's the most I'd pay as a local (we've paid as little as $5 as homeschoolers). You can find tons of buy one adult, get one kid free coupons. I would at least try for that. I would never pay full price--even as a tourist. It's not worth full price, especially since your kids are too young to enjoy several of the roller coasters.

If your kids love Legos, yes! My son was 10 when we went and he had a great time.
