Any speculation out there on if legoland will have a soft opening before October 15th? We are headed down October 8-15 and hate to miss legoland by just a week.

They are selling season passes online which state you may be invited to special events. Wondering if it is worth the risk to purchase a season pass in *hopes* of there being a soft opening for AP holders.

If not, we may buy tickets and go on the 15th on our way home. Anyone else going opening day? What do you think the crowd levels will be on 10/15?

I "liked" the Legoland Florida Facebook page, and I remember a post that said they were planning something special for AP holders. They didn't say what that special treat would be. I would imagine that opening day will be packed, but I'd probably still go if you have the chance to at least check it out. They had a special offer not long ago that was a special discount for opening weekend, and according to their FB page they sold a ton of passes that are good only on 10/15 and 10/16. We are planning to go in Jan and can't wait!

Ooo. Great idea. I "liked" them just now. Looks like they had a B1G1 free that expired last week. Maybe they will have something else soon.

I will speculate they will have a few "soft opening" events or parties, like a media party, employee party or some charity event for the community. Scoring tickets to one is where you need to be a detective.

Then let me put my detective hat on and get to work!!

Did you see the $2500 lifetime pass? That's crazy expensive but I guess worth it if you (1) knew you were going to live another 25 years and (2) could go at least twice a year for the next 25. The park itself looks small and I think everything could be done in one day if crowds are reasonable.

We're planning to go! We'll be there until the 23rd, so we're hoping to go some time after the weekend it opens. DS is going to be in heaven :cloud9:

I haven't told any of my boys yet. I need to be sure we can swing it before I make any promises. They are going to love it!

We haven't told our kids yet either. Doubt we will. We'll probably just drive there and let them see the signs as we enter the park! :goodvibes

I have it in our agenda for October 21st
