Legoland/Sea Life/Water Park

Hi All. We are headed to Carlsbad in July with a group of several families. We are definitely going to Legoland on one day with the group, however, I am contemplating purchasing the Resort Hopper + 2nd Day Free ticket that is available online. I would like some feedback on the value and enjoyment of the aquarium and water park from those who've been there recently. Thanks in advance!!

We just got back and I just posted a trip report in this forum. We got those 2-day park hoppers through the Wild at Work link on the discount thread in this forum. We skipped the aquarium because we go to the LB occasionally and just got back from taking DS4 to the one in Maui so it didn't interest us that much. My sister-in-law used to go A LOT and she said the aquarium is about a 45 minute activity. Very small.

The water park was ok. It definitely needs to be a hot day. When we went, it wasn't crowded and there still weren't any chairs. Maybe with a group, you want to do a cabana. I wouldn't call it a full-on water park, more like a really great water area. I think there were like 6 slides, a lazy river and a2 water play areas. Unless I missed something (which I wouldn't put past me), it just wasn't very big. The Pirate area actually inside Legoland is pretty cool.

I haven't been for a few years but we got the 2 day pass thinking we would be at the aquarium for one day & 2nd day at legoland & we were done with the aquarium in like 30-45 mins like the OP said its really small so we went to legoland after & they let us enter on the same pass.

Thanks! From everything I'm reading here, the message that I'm seeing repeated is "small" which could be fine for us since we want to have time to relax and catch up with our friends too. I'll look for your trip report.
