We are planning to go on the 8th and I've been wondering the same thing. I think the park should be pretty slow this time of year but that weekend is "Lego Club Weekend" for the new Lego Movie which is coming out 2/7. http://florida.legoland.com/en/Plan/Special-Events/
I'm still betting the park will still be pretty slow then but I don't really know. I think even on a busy day it doesn't have lines like WDW or Universal, and we're excited about the "special activities" to go along with that weekend.
We went on Sunday Jan. 12th and the crowd levels were very low. It was great. We didn't wait for a single ride. My son wanted to ride the Dragon again and just stayed on it because there was hardly anyone else waiting to get on.
We never even waited for pics with characters.
IDK if you have considered taking the Shuttle that is offered by Legoland from Orlando but we took it and it was fantastic. $5 a person round trip. I really thought that we would end up with a lot of spare time at the end of the day (since it does not leave until closing) but that was actually not the case at all!
Another tip, I bought DH and DS ticket as a B1G1 right from the Lego site. Then I purchased my ticket for $62 from Travel Zoo (I think they are still running the special).
