Hi all

we're planning our next trip for oct 2014 :cool1: we last went in june 2012 (never again in June!)

i'd like to know opinions on wether to include legoland? we're there for 3 weeks and ive never been to uk legoland, we have several children coming with our group from 3-12 years just what to know if it's worth it and if so whats the water park bit like? is it a seperate park or all together?

also is it worth doing a character breakfast? my twins who will be 4 currently LOVE micky mouse so i think maybe to meet him in a less busy stressful atmosphere might be quite good? What are the opinions pls?

TIA

Do t know about Legoland. Tusker house at AK breakfast is great Goofy Mickey, Donald and Daisy all in Safari costume if I remember right. Chef Mickeys at CR might be even better but I've never been.I think both do B,L and dinner and they are buffet style.

Character breakfasts are a must do for us DD loves them.

Ohana breakfast is our favourite but as previous poster has mentione Tusker House is good too.

Yes I've heard good things about O'Hannas.this year we're returning to Tusker house ,crystal palace and Akersus and trying 1900 park fare fir 1st time.I only mention other 2 as they have Mickey. CP is Pooh and friends and Akersus is princesses, 1900 is Cinderella, step mother and ugly sisters.

1900 for breakfast is pooh, tigger, Alice, mad hatter and Mary poppins. Dinner it is Cinderella, Prince Charming etc both brilliant we did all the character meals in February. DD loved them all tusker house was my favourite. Ohanas was DH favourite.

We love character breakfasts - there are lots of photos of the various meals in my dixons go deluxe review - link in my signature.

Personally we really enjoy breakfast at chef mickeys - the 5 main characters and a fun atmosphere.

We've done legoland twice in Florida. It was great for DD when she was 4 and 5 but I think older kids would be fed up - most of the rides are very tame.

We did it when we were mainly doing non disney parks - if I had disney 14 or 21 day tickets then I wouldn't pay extra to do legoland.

Our girls 9 & 7 would say Legoland is their favourite park, DH would agree! I'm not sure why, possibly because it still feels new to us, perhaps it's because they can go on every ride, perhaps because both times we have visited the park has been empty?! We are due to visit again on Friday and they can't wait, definitely worth a visit in our humble opinion!

Ali :-D

Ps. we have not done the water park part.....

Thanks guys, think we might leave the legoland for now, we're there for 3 weeks and there's plenty of fab stuff to do, we can do legoland at home after all!

Pretty convinced on the breakfast with Micky then, a lot of the booking this say a limo collect you, so where is that from as we're staying in a private villa not a hotel. Also does it allow you into the park early?

You can book with a limo if you want - some tour companies offer this.

But no need to - you can make a reservation online on the official website just for the meal - bookings open 6 months in advance.

If you book a meal for before park opening you can get in early. Just double check it's not a day when the park opens early for Disney guests (emh) or you will lose the benefit.

Some character meals eg chef mickeys are at the hotels not in the parks so no early access.
