Lego store in Downtown Disney

BTW, they typically offer ship to home and they do carry exclusive sets not available at other stores.

There are other accessories not normally found in stores like Lego mugs with the kids names, or keychains, etc...

Out of curiosity, do you mean that they have sets that are exclusive to the DTD location (i.e., that's the only place to get them) or that they have sets you can't find at Target/Walmart/etc.? I have a Lego store at the local mall that carries keychains, mugs, sets you can't find at third-party vendors (like Target, Wal-Mart, etc.) and other items, so I'm just curious if I should have been looking more closely for unique sets at DTD.

The ONLY thing I've found at the DTD location which was not available at every other Lego store was the engraved bricks.

Lego enforces price control over their product. So unless someone is liquidating their stock, you won't find any significant savings any where else.

They DO have a few items that you can't find in the chain stores but they are usually novelty items not necessarily Lego sets.

I'm not sure if they still offer it, but a few years ago I got a personalized Lego brick from there. You can select brick color and letter color, then they will engrave a word or name on the brick.

LEGO only enforces price control over their exclusive sets numbered 10xxx, and nothing else. Amazon had an amazing LEGO sale on Cyber Monday, 30 to 50% off most sets.

We always go to the Lego store in DTD, but rarely buy. My husband always keeps an eye on amazon prices. Usually he can find what they want 20 percent cheaper at Amazon.

I just asked my 9 year old if he thinks it's worth the trip. He shouted, "YES!"

It is a must do every trip for DS10, especially since we're usually there for his birthday, he gets a birthday present there every trip and sometimes goes more than once!

My niece loves Legos so I will be buying some Christmas presents here next week!:cool1:

I had never heard of them price controlling either, but if you've ever been in a Greetings and Readings, they have a sign talking about the restriction.

They do accept AP discounts, except on exclusive sets.

My DS(7) loves the Lego store at DTD. We have a small Lego store at a local mall, but it doesn't even compare. He loves to play with everything and look at all the displays and such. This is usually where he wants to spend all his gift cards that we give him for the trip. I have to admit that I love the store too. It is a lot of fun. Compared to our Lego store and places like Walmart the selection isn't comparable. The DTD store has so much more room and product.
