Hello all. I have to buy 4 to 5 sets. Does anyone know if the lego store at DTD has same prices as amazon on line or any other store? thanks if anyone knows where best prices are....
The lego store is usually retail priced. I don't recall any sales there. I only buy the mini figures there. I have found Target has deals like recently they had a buy one get one 1/2 off on Creator Series. Amazon has good deals as well. What series are you trying to find deals on?

Why would anyone buy at the Lego store then? Wouldn't people just go to the store, find what they want, and then use their phone to order it from Amazon or Target.com?
The lego store has some items you can't find anywhere else. And they have that cool mini figure build station. Also their VIP program is good if you buy large sets that never go on sale anywhere (not even amazon).
Fwiw, I just got lord business' lair (a Lego movie set and fairly new release) on amazon for $10 cheaper than anywhere else. I would definitely second target or amazon and occasionally toys r us (but usually only in the stores) for getting awesome deals. The Lego stores prices will be the same, for the most part, as the regular prices at target and amazon. They do have a good VIP program and a bigger selection, of course, and last year I got some chima speedor racers for $3 marked down from $13 at the Lego store.

Some sets are harder to find elsewhere. And other place don't have the pick a brick option where you fill a small bucket with pieces from their wall for a set price. They also usually have a freebie you get if you spend a certain amount.
DS (9) loves legos so I watch for sales. HEB - our local grocery store occasionally has sets on sale, and Walmart sometimes has the big sets in the clearance section. Even on clearance, though, I rarely see them more than 25% off, unless it's a very small item or a very large set.
As others said, sales for legos aren't so great, I would keep your eyes open for the "standard" sale I always see on legos. It is the "buy one get one 50% off" and get two at a time. Otherwise just watch for what you want to go on clearance but clearance legos tend to disappear fast so if it's more than 50% off it's probably the set nobody wants.
I agree, for selection and hard to find sets, lego.com and the lego store are great. Toys R Us also has a very big selection. They mark their prices above retail though, so you really want to try to wait for a sale at Toys R Us if you can.
If you have time to wait, Target does rotate which legos are on sale. Plus, I don't know if anyone remembers this, but Black Friday 2013, Walmart had ALL legos 30% off! Not sure if that will happen again, but that was a great deal.

I was just at the Lego store last weekend and they definitely do have sales. Right now most of the Lord of the Rings sets are 20% off. Many other sets were 20% off as well, but I didn't look at all of those because my boys are only interested in LOTR sets right now.
The best prices for sets we saw were on Amazon (we buy Duplo for the 3 y.o.). We also bought a sack of parts on eBay by weight. It was actually pretty great - we now have a mix of fancy sets with princesses and a bunch of spare parts to build the castles.
Have you tried Marshalls or TJMaxx? They carry them. Last Xmas they had a huge Star Wars set for $80 but they always have the smaller ones for less than $20. These are the 277 piece ones.
