Most of the good stuff was never available at these prices. LEGO marked down not just some in-stock items, but all items that have been out of stock, some for a month or more.

The only items that were actually offered at these prices and sold out were the Ferrari truck and Star Wars AT-AT.

Thanks for the head's up! I ordered one my DS has asked for but since it's a "hard to find" I never saw it in the stores and didn't want to pay full price - and I didn't!

Because I saw the sale literally when it first came online. You can also check S@H product dateline availability at www.brickset.com, which shows that all those items sold out weeks ago.

Agreed, but in the unlikely event that one of the items comes back in stock, it will probably be at the sale price.

A lot more items are now sold out, though. I picked up the City House ($40 to $20), Tractor with Pig Farm ($35 to $17) and Technic Crane ($150 to $75!) earlier today and they are all gone.

This was nonetheless a great sale, even though many of the items never actually were on sale.

I was quite annoyed when I clicked on the sale. I too immediately noticed what seemed like 90% of the items were never available at that price. I have been watching the lego stie for a while now.

The LEGO Stores at malls matched the prices, and had even more items on sale.
