This is a strange request--does anyone have info on Lego Land in CA. DS would like to go there this summer. Is it worth the trip from PA? Also, we enjoy Disney World very much :Pinkbounc , should we take a trip to Anaheim and see Disneyland ::MickeyMo . Is there anything else to do in San Diego, we know about the zoo and Sea World, any other suggestions?

Thanks, Ken and Pat :sunny:

We did the very thing you're talking about in 2001. Stayed in San Diego about 4 nights and then went to Disneyland for another 3 nights. I sure wouldn't make a trip just for Legoland, but it was a fun vacation overall. How old is your child? Legoland is for smaller kids, although the cities built from legos are fascinating for children of all ages. We enjoyed our stay in Disneyland lots more than our stay in San Diego, but if you're set on Legoland, I'd definitely do both. We did the zoo also, and took the hop-on hop-off trolley ride around San Diego.

We went out to CA this past June. Our DD was 10 and we spent 4 days at DL and we spent 1 day at the San Diego Wild Animal Park and 1 day at Legoland. Legoland is very laid back compared to WDW or DL. You don't have to do commando style to see evrything. We really enjoyed Legoland but like the comment above it is geared toward younger kids. I would recommend going to the Animal Park as opposed to the San Diego Zoo.
You'll need at least 3 days if you want to go to DL and DCA. DL is twice the size of the Magic Kingdom so I would allow 2 days for this park and a day for DCA.

My DD 9 loves legoland, as we have been there many times. If you are coming from PA, I would fit it in, check the hours though, they don't stay open real late during certain times of the year. You could do Sea World, Lego land then head on up to DL. Legoland is really casual, you can see the whole park easily in a day. It is geared towards younger kids, but I agree with the others that the MiniWorld is Fabulous! Be sure to look for Elvis in New York!!! Have a great time! Let me know if I can help any further...
