Leger Wonka Pre-Trip....Little Surprises Around Every Corner (7/6 New Purchases)

I hope not! Ooh, Mustard would be a good help!

Yeah, I think if I can't get it going tonight I'll shoot him a PM and see what he says. Then as a last resort I'll have my Dad come over to set everything up for me. I'm really trying to get it all done myself so I know what to do if something goes wrong. It's so hard to know how everything is set up if someone else does it. Hate that.

Wow finally caught up! My stupid subscription thing is not working and I am lost without it :headache:

So weird how people have gone through the same thing you have. I went through placenta abruption in 2000 with my DD. I was very lucky though-- I was sitting in the dr's waiting room when it happened and his office is connected to the hospital. Anyway, at the time (2000) he told me the only high risks for placenta abruption at the time were women who smoke, women who do cocaine, and direct trauma (I guess a direct hit). I guess certain drugs weaken the uteran wall or placenta. Any who, like you said -- if it was me I wouldn't take the chance.

I am so sorry you are having internet problems. I while back I went through two weeks of fighting with Charter after I had checked everything on my end. And then **poof** it started working again. It can be very frustrating.

I HATE Charter!!

Oh I hear ya there! If my subscriptions aren't updated I never catch up.

I've never been through that but I'm sorry to hear that you have. Although VERY glad that you were in your doctors office. Thank goodness! I used to smoke so I hope that doesn't happen to me whenever I do manage to get pregnant.

It seems to be working okay now. I got our new cable modem working....then the wireless started working. All the internet was hooked up on all my computers and then I tried the PS3 and BAM! Nothing worked! Sooo I turned off the PS3, got connection back to the laptops....downloaded the new service pack for Vista on my laptop and some wireless adapter fixes and BAM everything worked again! So I think it was a combination of a lot of things that was making it not work. Thank God for the new Vista Service pack :goodvibes

woohoo! :woohoo:

I'm still having wireless networking problems at home. As a last resort I'm having my Dad revert both of my laptops back to Windows XP and I have no idea how long this will take. I still have internet on my PC at home and I'm online at work too every day but I probably won't be online in the evenings to chat as much or to do posts and such here until I have everything resolved.

Just wanted to let everyone know what was going on so if you don't see me at times you normally would, that's why

awww now I feel bad :(

I hope to get it resolved fast too!

I need my Carla fix in the evenings!!! :goodvibes

 Now I feel special (hmmmm two very different emotions in one post...didn't know that was possible). I'm gonna miss my Cheri fix in the evenings too until I get this crap worked out. My Dad is working on one of my laptops now so hopefully he'll have it up and running before I leave work today. I'm not holding my breath though. I'm just glad I've got him around to help me with these things :goodvibes

That stinks!! I will be on the lookout for Indy stuff for you!:goodvibes

I saw you on IM earlier and now you're gone....I hope you are getting the problems fixed with your computer and will be back soon...

No I used to smoke too ... it was women who smoked through out pregnancy. But you know how that stuff goes...makes the chance greater. If you smoke, you make the chance greater to get cancer. My grandma is 80+ and has smoked since she was 12 years old :scared1:

Cripes! Internet problems are so frustrating ! (I can't seem to say that enough) Why do ya'll think it is Vista? Someone told me something resently that Vista is not backwards compatible with a lot of stuff. Is that it?

Thanks girl...I hope so too

I had it up and running after I got home from work. I got dropped from the network a few times still but after a while it seemed to be okay. Well, my FIL came over to hook up a new CD Drive in our PC. I'm not really sure what happened but somehow the power to my modem and my wireless router got shut off. I'm not sure if that's what messed it up or if it was the things my FIL changed in the PC that messed things up but once he left and I was able to try and reconfigure everything again it just would NOT work! My network wasn't even showing on my list of available networks and I had my laptop sitting right next to the freaking router!!! :headache: Sooooo....after speaking with a Linksys tech for about an hour through online chat, I gave that up and decided to try and set things up through my laptop. It finally saw my network but still wouldn't really connect so I changed wireless frequencies and it worked right away. That was at about 10:30 or 11 or something last night. I checked it again this morning and it was still working so fingers crossed that it is finally okay. My Dad is still working on my other laptop trying to get all the drivers installed on it. He said Gateway isn't as good with it's technical support with having drivers readily available so I brought all the disks and software that it came with. Hopefully that will help and I'll be able to take it home with me to get everything up and running again.

I know I probably keep giving you more information than you want or need but I guess explaining it here is helping me stay sane and keep things straight in my head :rotfl:

Oh okay I see now. Yeah, I don't know how anyone could do anything knowing that it could possibly harm their unborn child. But there are quite a few selfish people out there. My Uncle's wife (no I don't call her my aunt....long story) smoked pot while she was pregnant. She said it eased her nausea :sad2:

Yes they are!!! :headache:

As for problems with Vista. SO Many people are having problems with Vista. My Dad just bought a laptop with Vista on it. He normally gets XP but he got Vista this time on accident so he thought he'd give it a try. Well, it kept dropping the internet connecting and was extremely slow! Kept doing the "Limited Connectivity" or "Local Access" on the wireless connection. He got tired of it and reverted back to XP. Go on the Windows Vista forums and read up on problems people have had with it. It's just sad how much does not work well with vista.

Also, Sharky said her DH was having the same internet and wireless problems on his laptop too and he reverted back to XP and it is running well again. If you're not having problems with yours then you are amongst the lucky. I hope it stays that way for ya. (If I remember correctly you are running Vista)

 yeah, it makes my head hurt just thinking about it.

Yeah, you must be. I think if the network is fully windows Vista (like yours) then it's fine. But we had Vista, XP, Playstation 3 and a Wii all running on the same network. I really don't think Vista can run right when there's other operating systems co-mingling with it. Vista does not play nice. :sad2:

ohhh, okay, I see. Well right NOW we don't have anything else running with it. But I will definitely make note of it! thanks!
