Leger Wonka Pre-Trip....Little Surprises Around Every Corner (7/6 New Purchases)

I talked about this in my last pre-tr that flopped. So, I'm gonna re-post it here. September 17th is my DH's birthday. I want to do something extra special for him this year so I decided to plan a Birthday Fire Works Cruise. We have done the cruise for Illuminations before so this time we are going to do the Wishes Fire Works Cruise. If any of you remember Cherbear, her and her husband Mike will be there with Cheri's cousin, her husband and her son. They are going to join us on the cruise. If Chris' parents come to WDW with us as well (this is still up in the air :headache: ) then they will be on the cruise. If they don't come I'm gonna try and get my grandparents to come since they only live two hours south of WDW.

With that being said, I had posted some pictures I found of the fire works from the cruise boats on WDWInfo.com.

Here they are again for your viewing pleasure

It looks great from the pictures! All I gotta say is it better be worth the $300!! If any of you have done the cruise already any reviews would be great! I'm also going to order a special cake (hopefully from the GF bakery) and have it delivered on the cruise. If any of you have done something like that before any advice/reviews would be great.

That looks awesome Carla. I am going to try to read to catch up and not post but that's hard for me not to post, lol. :lmao:

I can't wait to hear about the Wishes cruise too! During our trip last September, we ordered MIL a bday cake to be delivered to our room at the GF. We had a big plan to surprise her and they messed it up by brining the cake an hour early and she was the only one there and answered the door. Then as we cut the cake it was to have strawberry custard filling and it did not. So, to make a long story short, they gave us vouchers for a free Wishes cruise that we plan on using in September :woohoo: We were supposed to do it on that trip but we only had one night that we could and it rained so we postponed until a later trip.

I agree Carla, never be afraid to pay to dollar for Disney stuff :thumbsup2 Of course my DH doesn't have that same though

Wow Betsy, that was well worth them screwing up the cake, that is awesome you got the Wish Cruise voucher!!! Can I be one of your ten people???? :cutie:

Loving all the colored markers

Great idea with the Dry Erase board..Hope ya get some good messages:thumbsup2

I think Sharky and I are going to get a notebook and a pen and put it outside our camper on the table under the awning for DISers to stop by and sign. We plan on having wooden LGMH's on stakes around the camper so DISers know we're there!

Do you have AC Moore's down there? They have a LOT more shirts than Michael's! LOTS more colors! :thumbsup2

Thanks Love!.......

sharky, this is now your assigment, we don't have AC Moore here, just Michaels so you need to go there and check it out!!!

I think the changes look great :thumbsup2 Can't go wrong with Ohana and GF Cafe! I can't wait to hear how they are for you!

I can't give any advice on the water parks b/c we have never gone. I would like to sometime though! Can't wait to hear your reviews.

Travel safe tomorrow :goodvibes

Have a good trip tomorrow visiting your friend.

Make sure you up bright and early to make those dining adrs on Monday:thumbsup2

Glad you are finally here MomMom

Thanks Betsy and Sharky for the well wishes on my trip today. My Dad ended up giving me the day off from work because I had to take my car in to get fixed this morning. Which meant I would be going in to work late and then leaving early from work to get to the airport on time so he said not to bother coming in today :thumbsup2 I didn't argue :rotfl: So, I'm home finishing up my packing. My Mom will be here around 2pm to take me to the airport. I'm still a little nervous about walking through the Atlanta Airport by myself since it's SO huge and I have to take a train inside the airport just to get to my Gate but everyone keeps telling me that I'll be fine so I guess I'll be fine :goodvibes

Wish me luck and I will talk with ya'll once I get back on Tuesday March 18th. :thumbsup2

Have a great trip. The Atlanta airport and the train is really easy, you will have no problems.

Another Louisiana person. What part of Louisiana? I am in Central Louisiana in the Alexandria area. Nice to meet you!:)

A little town called Hammond, lol. Nice to meet you too! You can check out my TR if you're ever bored :rolleyes1 Sorry for the pimp, Carla!

I can't believe you went and changed things up on me! And you're saving money and staying longer!! :woohoo: That's great! Can't wait to hear the new ADR schedule. :thumbsup2

So, Chris and I had been discussing the possibility of changing resorts to save some money since the more I think about it the more I can't justify paying more for a "crash pad" when Pop is nice enough :thumbsup2

Our origional reservation was for sept 13th through sept 18th. We were gonna add two days to the end of our trip which would elongate our stay until the 20th. Which would mean we would have to go from POFQ to Pop. We didn't really want to have to do that either.

So Chris called tonight and figured out that our origional sept 13th - 18th reservation was $100 more than the new reservation at Pop for the 13th - 20th. So we moved our reservation over to Pop for the whole week! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Now I need help trying to decid where to eat the last two days!!!! Help!! I have to make my ADR's on Marh 17th!!!!!!

Are you still gonna come visit me??

After that I'm thinking we might try to hit a park for a little while since we are not using one of our days of park hoppers on Sept. 16th. Don't want it to go to waste!! Which means we'll probably end up at LTT for dinner.

Now, I need a little more help here....I'm considering trying out one of the water parks since we have the "water, fun and more" ticket package this year. Which day do ya'll think I should fit one in and which water park do you recomend? I'm considering fitting a water park in on Sept 18th and taking a little time away from the World Showcase at EPCOT. What do ya'll think? And when you tell me which water park I should go to keep in mind that I normally dislike public pools and water parks so I'm pretty fresh into this stuff. Sharky already recomended to me that we should go to Typhoon Lagoon since it's more laid back than Bilzzard Beach. Not that I don't value her opinion or advice...I just wanna hear what ya'll have to say as well and also, is it worth it enough to take time away from EPCOT?? :confused3 :confused3

Whatever day I'm going...Tuesday, I think???

I thought you didn't like water parks? Last year when we went to Typhoon Lagoon, it seemed kind of dirty to me...not so much that I wouldn't ever go there again. I just think that they should be able to keep the leaves out of the water, you know. It was fun and all, I just can't justify spending the entire day there.

I just know after seeing the inside I will want to stay there at some point but I think even if I had a crap load of money I couldn't justify paying that much for a "crash pad" Chris has really rubbed off on me with his ways on money. Ugh!

Don't blame you for wanting to save money........especially if you aren't going to spend much time there!

My SIL and MIL were going this past September to the GF and called and asked me to fly down with DD. I at first said no because we were going in October with DH and DFIL. Well, they offered to pay for everything! How could I say no!!! So, DD and I flew down for 3 nights and stayed at the GF. It was soooooo pretty! BUT...I myself would have a hard time paying that kind of money. The rooms were not much bigger than some of the moderate's to me. Now I will say the ambiance and surroundings are so beautiful there that it just sucks you in

Oh man.......you lucked up! Why can't we all have family like that!

Your plans are looking good......although you say they will be changing:rotfl:
I don't know if I would say the water parks are worth taking time from Epcot........but I'm not much for water parks.......:snooty:
I liked floating on the river around Typhoon Lagoon....never been to Blizzard Beach......Typhoon also has a "coral Reef" with pretty fish to snorkel in.

Hope you are having fun with your friend.....did she love the quilt?!?!?! That is a rhetorical question.......we all know she had to love it!!!!!!

Hey hey hey Carla!! I made it :D

The cruise looks very cool and a great way to make his B-Day an extra special one. Nice additions to your pin collection. I wasn't very in to them initially but after my little pin adventure and the fact that my DD11 has become a fanatic, I think I'm getting hooked too - lol.

The first draft of the itinerary is looking pretty good, but I know what you mean about it changing ...it is a long way to September! Are you traveling/arriving on your B-Day?

That is quite the colorful bunch of planning materials - you'll have to post a finished page from the notebook so we can see that rainbow of colors in action ;) Great T-Shirt designs, are you going to do iron-on or get them professionally done?

Back at POP aye? Well you're very right - it is just a crash pad after all. And getting more WDW days makes it all worthwhile - whoohoo! And the second draft of the itinerary is looking a lot more together. And it answered my question about your birthday - glad you're not having to travel on it. And Le Cellier for the birthday lunch - very nice!

Overall ya got a great start on a trip filled with good food and lots of fun - yehawww!
