Hi everyone

Just wondering if there is any word of the Lion King show stopping? I absolutely love it and so does the family and we are dreading the day they put something else on in it's place:sad1:
Has anyone managed to meet the cast of the show or is this not allowed?

The cast came to the edge of the stage at the end of the show and said hi when we were there :)

The last time we were there (Jan 07) we went to see it 3 times! Not only was it fantastic we got in from the freezing cold weather!!;) The 2nd time we saw it they came off the stage during the finale as you know, and patted my wee girls head and she just hid her face and said nothing!:rotfl: She is 6 and i think it freaked her out abit!!
I would love to meet the actors even if you could pay extra for the experience I think it would be worth it.
My little boy is 2 in April and he has just about mastered Hukana Matata!! Well in his language!!!:rolleyes1 I'm beginning to think our family is obsessed now!!! But to be honest I don't care!

i remember when my brother was little, the lion king had just come out and he too mastered hakuna matata in his language! the line 'its our problem free philosophy' turned into 'its our problem free ansocrofees'.....thats not even a word?! used to have us in hysterics tho!
we looooooove the legend of the lion king too, its amazing! hopefully it will be one of their shows that sticks for years, cos i dont want to see the end of it!
not sure about seeing the characters, maybe u cud call up the park and see if u can do some detective work? im guessing thats the best way of doing it
good luck!

Cheers Princess tigerlily. Yeah might have to do some detective work. Mind you as long as it stays on for years to come I will be a happy bunny!!:yay:

When my son wants Lion King on he says 'a mumba way' from the song 'the lion sleeps tonight'!!!! Haven't they got a great language thing going on!!:rotfl: In saying that hope he snaps out of it before he starts school!!:)

It's worth getting there early to get a front row seat, we did the first time and DS got a Hi 5 from Simba when they came off the stage.:goodvibes

I heard that one of the "Nala"'s is a contender for the French Eurovision entry.:)

I'm not suprised Jillrobinson, there was two different Nalas when we saw the show and both were brilliant. I videod the first show we saw in Jan and I think she had a great voice and as for the Simba well he was lovely with a great voice!!:yay: I have the footage on one of the video websites (the obvious one!!) which i'm probably not allowed to mention but my name to search my stuff is tinkerbellinparis. Sorry if this is being cheeky. And the quality is not that great but i've seen alot worse. The vocal on the finale with Nala is fab xxxx

oooh, poppyolivia i dont know what the site ur talking about is! sorry for being a bit thick, hehe!
maybe u cud personal message a link to me?

Poppyolivia - just a message for you about The Lion King, if you are going back to Disneyland Paris just want to warn you that they are clamping down on people videoing, I dont know if you have read my trip report day 2. The whole show in Animagique and The Lion King show were stopped straight away and did not go ahead because one person was videoing. I just thought I would let you know, because when we left animagique I believe there were raised voices at this lady and a lot of upset children. We also found out this had happened the same day at The Lion King Show and apparently this was worse because two men ended up at loggerheads with each other over the show being cancelled.

I would hate this to happen to you if you videoed the show.

Mickey4kids. Thanks for that, it's actually really weird cause me and my husband were talking about that 3 hrs ago. Wondering if anyone has been stopped before??? Well, at the end of the day I can understand why....but I've already got it so I suppose i'm one of the lucky ones.
This must be new since the end of Jan is it? Cause the security/cast members saw me doing it and didn't say anything??????? I was very near the front????? Thank you so much for the heads up anyway xxxxxxx

Your quite welcome poppyolivia. :thumbsup2

It was quite heated at the time we were there. I dont know whether it is a new thing but they did not continue the show.:confused3

Wow knew that this was the case with Animagique obviously because of the use of black light. But Lion King :confused3 I know they announced no flash photography since it can distract the performers, but plenty videoing the show when we went :)

When I was telling a family we met about animagique they told us that this had happened the same day at The Lion King Show. I did not experience it at the Lion King Show myself as unfortunately we missed this show, will have to go to it next time. So only going on what I was told for that show.

Hi when you get tickets for the lion king show can you choose which time you want or do you just get the time they give you ? just wondering if in the morning we can ask for tickets for the afternoon show .
thanks

You go to buy tickets at certain times for certain shows.
Some shows are in English and some in French so make sure you get tickets for the correct one.:confused3 :confused3

The park maps will have info on about what time to get tickets for which shows and which are in English and which are in French.

The queue to buy the tickets was enormous so there is no guarantee you will get tickets for the time you want. Well worth the wait though as the show is fantastic:cheer2: :cheer2:

Tickets for Lion King show are free All you have to do is make sure that you have all of your parties park passes in case the CM wants to check the number of tickets you are asking for :)

Sorry yes I didnt mean 'buy' I meant 'collect'. Sorry if Ive confused you.:confused3
As stated you need to take your park passes to collect but only one person needs to queue for them with all your party's passes. In fact when we were there last year they were discouraging more than one person per party to queue

This is one of our fav shows - the music makes me cry EVERY time I see it (much to the amusement of my DD9 :rotfl: ).

We video'd the whole show in 2004 as did lots of others. This must be a new ruling since then.

I understand why in Animagique as flashes will show up the illusions used to make the show but I dont understand why with TLK as its a straightforward musical.

Never mind - Im still going to watch it AGAIN :goodvibes

Has anyone seen the show both in English and French? What is the difference between both (I mean the language obviously but are all songs in French/English or just some parts change? Is there lots of dialogs that you have to understand to be able to follow the show?
We are going with my in-laws and they will want to see the French version (their English is limited), my 2 girls will want to see the English version, no we are not complicated :rotfl: luckily dh and I don't care what version we see :)
