Totally off the Disney exerience I know but was hoping for advice. I took out a personal pension plan with a well known provider years ago. When I lost my job I stopped paying into it. I then got divorced 8 years ago and to say it wasn't amicable would be an understatement. I rang said company recently to ask about transferring this pension only to be told the address they had was that of my former wife. It turns out that they had made an administrative error and had entered the wrong address! This has now been corrected but as has been pointed out it is a breach of Data Protection. What, if anything, can I do? Any help would be appreciated.

I think the answer is "nothing", as you have not actually suffered any loss or anything else as a result of incompetence.

you could go down the ombudsman type route, but they would expect to see some sort of loss or inconvenience as a result of their action. They would also expect you to write to the provider 1st in the first instance for answers. If I were you I would chalk this one up to bad luck :wizard:

Just make sure the benefactor of your pension is now changed to a person of your choice.
