we are currently looking at two villas, one in emerald island and one in the retreat at legacy park. How much difference in travel time would there be between these two places. The legacy park one is bigger and cheaper, but emerald island is closer. I want to know how much closer.
We will be going to disney and DH will be attending a conference at the Gaylord Palms while we are there.

There is a new road opened that will allow you to cut off using the 27 to get to 192 and reduce the time from LP by a bit .EI is always going to be slightly quicker owing to the fact it is geographically closer but the new road -which is reached by going straight across from LP and the turning left and reaching 192 or you cn afollw the first turning right from this road -which is Funie Steed which will take you parallel to 192 in reality the difference is small IMO

I am not sure what Legacy park offers it might be due to the amenities, location, so on.

Personally I think it is all up to the rentor. Not everything is for every one. The differences allow for all to have their cake and eat it to.

Decide which home best suits and then vacation. It will be a great time no matter where you stay. Renting a vacation home is a vacation in it self or can be. I always recomend to go with a bed for every one and no sleeper sofas. That way when you want the common space it is there for the taking.

After that I ask what kind of vacation are you looking for? What makes a home comfortable to you and your party. For instance. we have leather and it is not warm and fuzzy but very kid friendly and that is what I pride my house on. I want to know that it can be wiped clean. I also have tile again not warm but again an easy clean. It is all about you when putting in a search. What is important to you. What can you do with out and what makes not difference one way or another.

There is usually a list of amenities on the websites. Look at the lists and make sure you are getting what you will need to make your vacation a success. I was just talking to a person who made an inguiry about our home. She had mentioned that the last home she rented was short on linens. I know this can be a very big problem with a large group. If there are any questions ask. It is your dime and you need to get what you want if you are paying.

Cost also can enter in a big way. I have seen prices people have gotten and can not believe how cheap you can get some homes for. Personally that would also be something if I did not own to look into. Why spend a ton of cash if you do not have to. Just ask questions before you finalize every thing.

Not sure if I answered your direct question but here goes. We own in EI and we think it is the bomb. Totally a biased opinion. There are wonderful homes in all of the rental communities. Here is a website of just EI homes that have many pics of the resort if you are interested.

Have a great vaca were ever you decide to lay your head.
