I didn't even know this was a thing until I looked because of this thread..THANK YOU GUYS. In my app expiring 4/30/21 !
) so you're not far behind on knowing about it.Hmmm, I wonder how this is going to work being a non-resident of California.... April 30th expiration...
The discounts have and will continue to work in DTD for all Legacy.
Legacy discounts are only stated to last until a new membership program is announced anyways. Our current understanding is the expiration will be extended if no announcement is made prior to that date.
Isn’t the discount good for entry into a park though? That’s roughly ~$80 to $100 value... California won’t let me into the parks, so it’s not really useful to me, even if it’s extended (unless it’s extended out until California stops discriminating against non-residents, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a new program was announced by then.)
It would be amazing if Disney offered $100 off whatever new pass they offered OR one entry into the park. Heck, maybe even $50 off a new pass or something.
From what I understand this is just a discount for shopping and food...I don't think anything was ever mentioned about park entry discounts.Isn’t the discount good for entry into a park though?
Ah ha!!!! Disney is still listing the passport terms with this legacy discount and THAT says it’s good for an entry into Disneyland or DCA! Wow, Disney just isn’t very clear on this stuff... I was one of the ones that never get an email (even though I’ve agreed to all correspondence from them & made sure it doesn’t go to spam) so didn’t see any terms that way, never saw any mention of it in the app home page, only finally see it under “tickets & passes” but just “legacy discount B” with no further info except for the terms way at the bottom.
Got it, ok. That makes so much more sense. I’m fine missing out on merchandise/food discount, I knew I would largely miss that being out of state anyway. It was when I thought it got someone into the part as a single use ticket that I felt a little screwed over.
. Also the old AP listings used to actually say valid days below it (like mine said valid 365 days a year and it had a link to the calendar). There was really no where else they could put it on the app either. I imagine this is to also allow for discounts with mobile ordering. So it has to be tied to the ticket section for that reason alone.
