Has anyone received their discount link in the app yet? I keep checking but I don't have one yet. I know it said it could take a few days, but I am impatient. :)

I see a barcode under tickets and passes. It says legacy pass holder discount, expires 4/30/2021.

I got mine yesterday afternoon. Still waiting for my mom's to show up on her account. They said it could take up to three days.

Also I don't think anyone proof read the fine print because there's information about renewal on it :rotfl:

I didn't even know this was a thing until I looked because of this thread..THANK YOU GUYS. In my app expiring 4/30/21 !

Information just went out yesterday to some Legacy (in true Disney fashion: not everyone got emails about it :lmao:) so you're not far behind on knowing about it.

It's a change as of today that to get your discounts, you now need: the discount code in your app, your physical AP, and a photo ID.

The expiration is supposedly going to keep getting extended if they don't announce the new membership program by then.

Hmmm, I wonder how this is going to work being a non-resident of California.... April 30th expiration...

The discounts have and will continue to work in DTD for all Legacy.

Legacy discounts are only stated to last until a new membership program is announced anyways. Our current understanding is the expiration will be extended if no announcement is made prior to that date.

Isn’t the discount good for entry into a park though? That’s roughly ~$80 to $100 value... California won’t let me into the parks, so it’s not really useful to me, even if it’s extended (unless it’s extended out until California stops discriminating against non-residents, but I wouldn’t be surprised if a new program was announced by then.)

It would be amazing if Disney offered $100 off whatever new pass they offered OR one entry into the park. Heck, maybe even $50 off a new pass or something.

What? No. Disney cancelled the DLR annual pass program back in January and is in the process of refunding all of us for any overpayment versus actual time used. We do not have any entry media at all anymore. These discount codes are not good for entry and will never be good for entry. Only for our previous discounts based on pass level.

All this is is giving us a discount code on our app. Previously we only needed our physical AP cards (that are now cancelled) and IDs. Now to use our discounts we need this code, our physical AP cards, and our ID.

Those who held an active AP on March 14, 2020 are now known as Legacy passholders. We maintain our discounts until a new program is announced. We have zero entry media.

From what I understand this is just a discount for shopping and food...I don't think anything was ever mentioned about park entry discounts.

Posted the same time as above poster. LoL

Ah ha!!!! Disney is still listing the passport terms with this legacy discount and THAT says it’s good for an entry into Disneyland or DCA! Wow, Disney just isn’t very clear on this stuff... I was one of the ones that never get an email (even though I’ve agreed to all correspondence from them & made sure it doesn’t go to spam) so didn’t see any terms that way, never saw any mention of it in the app home page, only finally see it under “tickets & passes” but just “legacy discount B” with no further info except for the terms way at the bottom.

Got it, ok. That makes so much more sense. I’m fine missing out on merchandise/food discount, I knew I would largely miss that being out of state anyway. It was when I thought it got someone into the part as a single use ticket that I felt a little screwed over.

Yeah.... That was the joke I made above that they had a proof read error in the renewal section and that it made me sad. That whole fine print area was also blank at first yesterday. They needed the bit about needing the physical card, but forgot to remove the renewal part.

Honestly, the fact it just says "discount" instead of "passport" is pretty telling to me it's not a ticket :confused3 . Also the old AP listings used to actually say valid days below it (like mine said valid 365 days a year and it had a link to the calendar). There was really no where else they could put it on the app either. I imagine this is to also allow for discounts with mobile ordering. So it has to be tied to the ticket section for that reason alone.

I didn't get the email either. Nor did my mom. But I keep up to date on a few sites including here to stay up on things because I know it's a shot in the dark getting those emails even if they normally come through fine. Thankfully the information usually spreads quickly once it's out :yay:

For those that don't have the discount code yet on their app: it sounds like they're doing a grace period until Sunday because not everyone has gotten the code yet. This information is coming from a few people on instagram that are encountering this issue. Just make sure you have your physical pass and ID.

I'm still waiting for my mom's code to show up in her app. I have mine. I put in a request through chat yesterday for my mom, but haven't heard back yet.

Ok, I went to Earl of Sandwich and they only needed to see the card. Then I went to The Star Wars outpost and bought a few things. The cast member asked me if I had a pass and I showed it to her. She asked if it was showing in the app yet and I said it wasn't there yet. She just asked for my ID and gave me a sheet with info about the legacy passholder discounts and said I should call the number on it to get it set up. I still got the discount but I'm sure they will be enforcing this soon.
