I'm preparing to train my theme park rew, and am trying to go over terms from our safety guide with them. This relates to specific conditions that can or cannot ride. One listed is a "brace between the legs". When we did our training, our manager talked about two types: the one where the whole leg is casted (like a spica cast), and a type that is not a cast but more of a brace. She said that often times they can bend their knee becuase it will be hinged or not even go to their knee. I have a picture of the casted type, but I cannot for the life of me find a picture of the second type on the internet.

I am trying to find pictures over everything to help my crew out. Does anybody know what this specific type of brace is called? I have tried many variations but can't find what I am looking for. I even tried "brace between the legs" in quotation marks in Google, and all I got was a bunch of furniture pictures. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ThThe anks for the replies. Unfortunately, I don't see what she is talking about. The way she has described it is as a brace that goes between the legs above the knees, connecting the legs together. The cast or brace does not extend the full way down the leg, or else allows for the knee to be bent. She mentioned that she thought you could see it in the movie Forrest Gump, but I can't find a good picture to be able to tell.

The reason why I'm looking for it is that we talk about having a brace between the legs as a condition that can ride on some of the rides if it fits in the ride unit. That would be an example of one that would fit.

If she means the one in Forrest Gump, that went between his ankles. I thought that was what you were talking about and was trying to find pictures for you but no luck either. I would think for your purposes that this would work to show an example of what kind of brace isn't acceptable on those rides. You could just tell them that it can be between the knees too, right?

The only pic I have right now is of one that would not be acceptable, so I'm trying to find one that is (hence looking for a brace above the knees). Maybe we've imagined it.

Google images of hip dysplagia brace or hip abduction orthosis. There are a lot of different pictures.

Thank you. I had found some by playing with their advanced search, but this is better than anything I found.
