I have enjoyed reading the posts regarding the planned uses of the dining plan. Several have mentioned having leftover meals at the end of the trip.

We are staying onsite for four days with the free dining, then moving to a timeshare. I suspect we'll have leftover CS credits, since DS11 barely eats. My plan is to go the Pepper Market on our last day and buy as many meals as it takes to zero us out to put in our refrigerator at our timeshare resort. Leftovers. YUM!

It would be interesting to read your suggestions for portable CS or Snack foods that could go with you on the plane or in the car when you leave if you still have credits. The more specific, the better.

For snacks - at many resort food courts you can get mickey rice krispie treats, you could also grab extra bottles of water and put them in your freezer at the timeshare and take them to the parks with you.

If we have any left over cs credits when we leave in Dec. I am planning to stop by the Earl of Sandwich to pick up some sandwiches for the drive home. You could also try the Wolfgang pucks express because they seem to have some good meals (like chicken and mashed potatoes) which I am sure could be packed to go and reheated.

WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!!!! I was so SAD to be leaving, we left two CS on our plan

If we have credits left I would spread the magic, someone else paying for your lunch how cool would that be? I know others have given up their desserts and whatnot because it is too much food.

I believe the resort food courts all have some sort of "grab and go" section with premade, wrapped sandwiches and salads that should be easy to take with you, along with bags of chips, and maybe some good bakery cookies for the desserts.

Last year we were on a dining plan and we had many meals left over, we ordered take out and ate left overs for the days we were in the BWV and not on a dining plan. We tried to buy meals for folks seated around us in the ts restaurants but the servers wouldn't let us do that. We were much more successful at buying meals for folks at CS restuarants. We still had credits left over.

In January, on our last day, we went to the food court at CBR and used up our last CS credits. We were having breakfast there anyway. The had a much better selection than POP food court. We got sandwiches, salads, desserts, chips, and bottles of water and soda for the trip home. (lunch on the road and dinner on the plane). It worked out great. I think the total (If we paid $$) for the bill was about $75. (And realize we paid for our dining plan). We did give away some of our snack credits to a father and son from Canada in the POP food court on our last day since, amazingly enough, we had lots of snack credits left. :confused3 We were there in Jan.-it wasn't very hot and since we had refillable mugs about the only thing we used Snacks for was ice creams in food court. In seemed like every time I looked for popcorn in the parks on the way out I couldn't find any. I know we had unused snacks. When I approached the father and son and asked if they would like a "free" no strings attached ice cream I actually had to convince them to take it. I told them "see, not everyone for California is a jerk!"

Anyway, this time we plan on utilizing our dining plan better as in Jan. it was new and even the CM weren't sure how to do it. Imagine, we didn't realize CS came with desserts-think of all those wasted desserts! :rotfl2:

39 days and counting! :cheer2:
