Just wondering who has read Armageddon yet? What did you think?

I LOVE this series and I don't know what I'll do once they are all out. These are the first books I've read since high school. I just don't like to read books because I can't concentrate enough to really get into them. My mind wanders in too many directions. I usually spend too much time trying to figure out different directions the book could/should go in. But there is something about these books! I don't do all of that when reading them. I just enjoy it.

I really do like Armageddon so far. But I'm disappointed in some of the things that have happened. I know these things have to happen, but still I don't like it when people die or are captured. I've got to hurry up and finish playing on the net so I can finish my book today!

I loved the first few books of the series. Although I don't think the last several were as good as the first couple but I still read them as soon as they come out. The margins seems to get smaller and the amount of time the books cover seem to get shorter. I haven't bought the last one yet. I am waiting for my Sams run this week.

I got mine at Sam's also. It was just under $13! :Pinkbounc

Picked up my copy yersterday at Waldenbooks. Normally I would have gone to Sam's as well, but....

We're Waldenbooks Preferred Readers (Read: Discount)

The book goes for $24.99 ( You knew that. )

They had it on sale (25% off) at $18.74.

Preferred Reader discount (10% off) now makes it $16.87.

We had $15.00 in Preferred Reader Certificates making it $1.87 !!!

So. With tax, I paid $1.97 !!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Now, THAT was a GOOD deal.

(Wait'll you see how THIS one ends!)

Ooooooooooo...........................just WAIT until you get to the end!!!

I got it for DD for her Easter gift so I won't get to read it until after she does. I am still working on The Remnant.

That's why I keep taking long breaks from the book. I've never had one of these books and not finished it within 48 hours! But this one I have since it is supposed to be the worst/best (depending on how you look at it) cliffhanger yet. But it is killing me not knowing. So, I'll finish it tonight!

I just got it and it's next on my list to read. :)

I'm done with it. Took me three days this time instead of two. It, like all the others, was so hard to put down. I was disappointed in some of the things that happened also, but.... It sounds like there will probably only be one more book yet to come. I hate having to wait a whole year-its due out in the spring of 2004.

I bought this book Friday at Target for $14.99 and finished it this afternoon. All I can say is I am looking forward to the next one!

I guess I had better get cracking then...I haven't even bought The Remnant yet. Maybe I'll stop by the library this week...:)

I haven't had time to buy it yet, but can't wait to read it! This is what I have planned for Easter weekend. I have gotten really attached to some of the major characters, and from reading the other posts it sounds like this will be really intense.

Already read mine, but as usual Jerry has left us with another cliffhanger. I think he gets the biggest kick out of doing that.:)
Yep, and some of my favs get knocked off, unfortunately.

I bought it last week but I still have not gotten around to even starting it yet. I am in the middle of another book and I really feel like I should finish it first. I also have about 15 other books waiting to be read so I need to speed things up a little.

It sounds like it is pretty interesting. I was not overly impressed with the last two books and I was kind of getting bored with them. Less and less seemed to happen in every book.

NO SPOILERS HERE PLEASE!!!

Not that that has happened yet, but we should keep that on a seperate thread. One post came a bit close. (Nothing personal)

I usually finish a book in a little over 24 hours but we have rehearsal's all week for our Easter Musical and then dress rehearsal on Thursday and performances Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Busy week.

:D

Okay, it looks like the Left Behind series will be my next read. Wish I could make a run to the library right now!

Since DW is blind, we enjoy getting books on tape from the Talking Book Program from the Library for the Blind.

Keep in mind that these are not the commercially available books on tape. These are 4-track tapes that are played in a special player. They may not have the sound effects you would have otherwise, but they are unabridged!

We did not start the series until last year so we were able to read the first several books one after the other.

Now that we are caught up we have to wait until the book is published and then wait quite a bit longer for it to be narrated and placed in the system.

It spoiled us at first, so now we have to remind ourselves of who is who when we read them.

I've never been much of a "Last Days" fan when it comes to books/movies, etc. but we are really enjoying this series.

I kinda know what you mean Alan. I started reading them about half way through the series. I had to be at home with my DD, for a few days, so my Mom brought them over to me (or all that she had at the time, the first 4 or 5). I read them that weekend, and then went AGGGHHHHH, when I found out that I'd have to wait until the next one.:) At least Tyndale House is persuading Jerry to step up the pace so to speak.:) Of course even after the last one, Jerry is doing two more, one set before the Rapture, and one set during the Millenium. Could be interesting.....;)

I finially finished it! All I can say is OH MY! I will not spoil it for anyone.

Why on earth do they have to take so long between books? I NEED another one RIGHT NOW!!! ;) Isn't the next one next Spring?

It was good. I think I need to go back through and read them all. Too bad that I've lost one or two loaning them out. Guess I'll have to replace them.

Pssst, we're hearing over on the LB board that Glorious Appearing 'MAY BE' coming out about Thanksgiving......just thought you'd want to know.;)
