Left an uncooked roast in the car

Also remember this was in a closed car so even though the outside temp was 90, the car was probably well over 100.

Absolutely! People die in closed cars at temperatures much lower than 90! The inside of a car gets well into the 120's and 130's during such temperatures. Leaving something in there for 90 minutes at that temperature is not safe. I don't even put refrigerated items in my trunk during the summer - they all go in the car with me, in the air conditioning! OP, you definitely did the right thing by throwing the roast away. There are some things worth more than money!

I would have thrown it out also.

For in the future you might want to think about purchasing a cooler bag. I got a large one from Sam's club that I use whenever I shop to put my cold stuff in. We live in a rural area, and I was always worried about the 30 minute trip from the grocery store to home. The bag works great. It keeps things super cold for hours. I can make other stops after the grocery store and not wory. I actually did forget about my bag one time, and when I came back later everything was still really cold. I can wipe it out to clean it. It also keeps a pizza hot when I pick up pizza for dinner.

This is the one I have: http://www.californiainnovations.com/products/ci/coolers/thermal-tote/

On a side note, I have done things like that all the time. I unload all my groceries into the garage and then bring them into the kitchen. Sometimes I will leave canned goods or boxed items out there until later but have realized that I left something that was supposed to go into the fridge.
The other day I made a chicken recipe in the crockpot. I had started it late so I was just going to cook and re-heat the next day. When it was done, I took the stoneware out and set it on the counter to cool a little before I put it into the fridge. I went into bed to read and forgot all about it, found it still sitting on the counter the next morning :headache:
I read that as "garbage" and thought, "Well, that saves time!" :rotfl: I have left leftovers on the counter so many times. It always really bums me out!
Thanks to everyone for the replies. I'm going to throw it out. I was going to use it to cook dinner for my sister's family but she is having chemo right now so I definitely don't want to take any chances. I could save it for us, but I think I would be too worried to about it to enjoy it.
In that case, no WAY would I have kept it. I wouldn't chance anything with your sister right now and I was iffy when I thought all of you were healthy. I hope all turns out well for your sister.

Does it creep anyone else out that nice resaurants age meat for ages? ick! lol!

Actually it's 10-14 days and at a temperature of about 34 degrees. I used to age beef myself in the fridge. Aging it breaks down the tendons and concentrates the flavor so it's wonderful and tender. It also loses half its weight, which is why aged beef is so expensive.

As for the OPs meat I probably would have given it to a neighbor that had a dog, explained the situation and let them decide if they wanted it before I just tossed it away.
