I checked daily for a cancellation here and finally got one. We will have two kids with us, ages 9 and 2. First is it a good place for kids? Our little one behaves well in restaurants. Second, is it a good assortment of items on the kids' menu? Thanks.

We have been taking our kids there since they were toddlers. I wouldn't hesitate to take your kids there. I'm not positive but I remember the menu having the usual assortment of kids meals and a steak option as well.

Yes, and yes! They have pretty much the same kid's fare you'll find anywhere else. ALL Disney restaurants are kid friendly.

We took DD6 in January, she had the kid's steak and loved it. There were lots of kids just like the rest of the park ;)

We did this with DS & DD who were 9 and 6 at the time. They liked it a lot. Our DS is looking forwards to being able to order from the adult menu here for the first time.

My kids are 9 and 7 and Le Cellier is on of their favorite restaurants to eat at. My DD9 is a huge steak eater and is very glad that they have a strip steak on the kids menu just for her while my DD7 loves the kids pizza there. Then of course they both love to get the Chocolate Moose dessert. I have seen many kids go in and out of that restaurant, even little ones and they were all fine. Don't worry about it and have a wonderful meal.

My ds has been eating there since he is 2! He's a true carnivore :lmao: a steak kid :lmao:
that being said, its a small restaurant, it is kid friendly, though not overly (like a character place) and its more of an adult atmosphere, not generally as LOUD as some of the others.
Will your kids like it, probably, Love it, not so sure...are there better family oriented places, I think so..it really depends on what you want/expect out of the "experience." If its a good meal, yes, if its interactive, kids galore, loud and/or "immersion" type, then no...
I think more people are caught up in the "hype" of LeCellier rather than the food itself...there are some other amazing steak places, IMHO....
BUT
we always include it in our visits!!;) I think you'll all enjoy it ...have a MAGICAL vacation OP! :wizard:

We have been several years in a row with our kids. Youngest age we took them was 2 and 3. It is perfectly fine to dine here with kids. We have been to tons of steak houses that should be adults only BUT this is NOT one of them. Kids menu is like most other disney restraunts.....kids will be able to find something NO problem.

I wouldn't hesitate to take young children to Le Cellier. There's going to be the standard kids' meals available, and your children will rpboably enjoy the bread selection!

Aswell as the standard kids menu found at other restaurants they offered the cheese soup as a child appetiser and steak for the entree. The fries served are thick cut (what we call chips in England).

My DD had the usual make your own sundae for dessert.

To the PP whose kids like the chocolate mousse - do you pay extra for your kids to get this dessert or do you switch with them? The mousse was an adult menu option only when we went in December.

I think kids can also get the smoothies as their drink on DDP, same as adults.

We went with a 3 year old and is was fine - lots of young children.

did you have to pay extra for the kids to get these desserts? since the kids have their own dessert menu.?

GD wants the Somemores

Our kids love it so much they've requested it twice on our next trip. (Try lucking into 2 reservations! :scared1: Nearly impossible, and I started at 180 days. :headache:)

I'd definitely give it a try with the kids. :goodvibes

Thanks everybody. Puts my mind at ease knowing the kids will like it. My older son does like steak so no problem there. Looking forward to our trip in November.

Yes we did, however we weren't on the DDP when we went the last few times. When we go in September, which will be our first time doing the DDP, my DH already had said he would pay OOP for their Chocolate Moose desserts because he doesn't want to deprive them of it (that is what they look forward to the most). If your GD wants the Smores dessert, just let your waiter know that she wants that instead of the children's dessert and then they will just charge you accordingly for it :goodvibes.

We have always been on the dining plan when we go. Our next trip only 1 DS will still be a child, so we'll pay for one for him. In the past when both kids were "children" we bought one extra, adult dessert (smores) for them to share, and they ate it with their ice cream. :goodvibes
