I just booked this for 12/3. The latest lunch time I could get was around 12:30..uh, not exactly what I was looking for. Besides that she said that the 5 of us would have to be at 2 tables. I jokingly told the dining CM that I may just put the kids at one table and DH and I at the other!.
My question is how likely is it that they would split us up? I really hope that when we get there they will seat us together. Also I'm going to keep trying for a later lunch.
Has anyone with young kids had to be split up??
Thanks,
Kimba

I also have Biergarten scheduled that day, if I can't get a later time for Le Cellier I'll just cancell and go to Biergarten.

The vast majority of the time, they are able to keep parties of five together at one table. It is possible that you may have to wait longer, and it is remotely possible that they simply won't be able to do it (but I think that's really unlikely -- it's not like you're a party of eight!)

I think even if you are at two tables they will be either very close or even pulled together..

Right now we have late ADRs at Le Cellier for 11/24. If I want an earlier time I'd have to take 2 tables. Knowing how busy Le Cellier is going to be, I'm not taking the chance they tell me I can't sit anywhere near my kids.

So I am keeping my current ADR, and hoping to switch when the CP comes out.

OK I worked in the Rose and Crown and although people would book 2 tables for large parties we would always do our best to sit them together unless they agreed that we could split them. Usually the table assigner will ensure that 2 tables close together are used due to things like sorting out the bills. It would be extremely rare they would seperate you out unless you said that was ok. It would probably mean you have to wait a little longer that's all. Tables are not assigned to each reservation in the way most resturants do as it is only a priority seating so its the next available table and assigners will do there best to ensure that you are together. Just remember you'd have to wait longer if you did decide to go for the 2 tables option that comes up on the reservations system.

I'm sure they will do their best to keep you together, especially with children. At worst, I see you being offered the choice between a longer wait to be together or being seated at separate tables. Hmmm... it would be interesting to see how they'd respond to someone saying they'd put the kids at a table on their own - it seems to me they'd want to get everyone all together at any cost then! ;)

Their tables are like thisclose at Le Cellier...part of it is like a long bench on one side, with several tables close together and chairs on the opposite side, so it is possible it is two tables right next to each other. The way the tables are set around the walls, I don't think you could fit a 5th person unless you pulled the tables together. I'm sure they will seat you together!

Thanks Everyone!! I would wait a little longer to be seated all together. I appreciate all your helpful replies. I won't worry so much now. :sunny:
Thanks Again,
Kimba
