I have made ADR at both places for dinner ...which one would you choose?

Thanks :)

OK, OK... I'll be the oddball! The service at Teppanyaki is FAR superior to Le Cellier - I personally liked the food better too, Le Cellier was just OK as far as the cuisine went - I didn't like my entree at all, but the appetizer was good and dessert was alright. Service was pretty bad though.

Teppanyaki is like a clone of Benihana's right?

We it reserved for dinner for one night but we still need a lunch. My GF wants Le Cellier. Is there anything wrong with going to BOTH places? (The same day) Our food reservations are so packed, we don't have another day to goto Le Cellier!

I believe both are pretty good. I guess I'm a bit bewildered that many like to point out that Teppanyaki is just a clone of Benihana while Le Cellier is rarely accused of being a steakhouse clone- something that any diner can also get in any town. Good luck with your decision.:)

I had the same dilemma, so do what I did...booked both for the same day!

Teppanyaki - lunch (right at noon)
Le Cellier - dinner (6:20 p.m.)

I chose them in that order because the Teppanyaki menu was the same for either lunch or dinner but Le Cellier had a better dinner menu.

We have little ones so I didn't want to do dinner too late, but if it was just my DH and me or the kids were older I might have made the reservation for 7:00ish.

:) :) :) :) :) :) :)

I like Teppanyaki and prefer it over LeCellier. If I want a good steak meal while at Disney, I go to Shula's...these of course are my opinions, actually my husband agrees as well. :)

We ate at both, I am a vegatarian so I "knew I could eat at Teppinaki, but I got unseasoned oily veggies. Noone in my group was that impressed. But at Lecellier the chef came to the table and asked me what I wanted, And I asked what he had in the kitchen? His reply was thats not what I asked you, tell me what you want and I'll get it foir you. I said anything without mushrooms or meat. they brought out the best steamed veggies and rice. That was my favorite meal there.

Funny you say that we had the exact same experience last year on NYE. We eat in this type of place at home all the time and DW gets fish & veggies. Here she gets a pile of lousy veggies.
We are booked for Lecellier this year NYE, I am going to tell the wife , she will be excited. :cool1:

Le Cellier - we are definitely going back there on our next trip - best meal we had! :thumbsup2

I'll be a bit of an oddball, too--I choose both. For us, we can't miss either one.

We've eaten at Teppenyaki every trip. Yes, it is like a Benihana as far as menu, seating, etc. The sous chefs that we have had have been fantastic (as opposed to Benihana's). In fact, it was here that our youngest son first began liking steak and insists we go back every time. I always get a steak/chicken combo and DH always orders some type of seafood. We love it and we love the show!

Le Cellier is wonderful, too, but I agree with the OP's--it's a good steakhouse. The pretzel bread and beer cheese soup is out of this world! Stop and think, almost every restaurant at Epcot could be compared to one we have at home--it's called America, folks. So...on that note--don't pick just one!!!

We frequent Disney restaurants like we change underwear as we always get the Premium Dining Plan. The way I look at it is why waste a meal on Teppenyaki when you can go to any old Hibatchi place pretty much everywhere in the country. Le Cellier is a different experience and just wonderful. I would vote for this one.

Le Cellier--fantastic food and atmosphere.

Teppanyaki was only so-so. In fact, I like our local Japanese steak house better and it is less than 1/2 the price. DD liked Teppanyaki because it is authentic Japanese and she is a Japan freak. It was difficult to get drink refills, no splenda available, show ok but not great, food ok but not great.

For those of you that are lucky enough to have a Teppan style restaurant near home Teppanyaki may not seem so special. Not everyone does - that is why I vote for both - the closest restaurant like Teppanyaki to us is almost 3 hours away.

We wrestled with the same decision and like I posted previously, both restaurants won out.

Gee, if you give up your LeCellier reservation maybe I can have it!
Our decision to vacation was last minute so now I can't get into LeCellier and it's our favorite restaurant.

I cannot compare it to Teppanyaki because I haven't been there. However, I can tell you that both our food and service were very good for dinner. I also went their for lunch last April but did not enjoy the lunch menu.

I hope you enjoy whichever one you choose.
