We ate at LeCellier on our last trip (11/07) - my SIL and I were in heaven with the maple filet with cream cheese mashed potatoes. So, when planning our upcoming trip we both insisted on a return visit to LeCellier. Imagine our horror when we realized that the entree we both were set on eating again is not longer on the menu (as per allearsnet):scared1: How often do they change the menus? Is there any hope that it could show up again on their menu before December?

1) Menus are always revised.
. . . variety
. . . seasonal goodies
. . . peak DDP times
. . . cost of raw materials/ingredients
2) I know of no one who can guess if menu items will return, or when.
3) If it matters that much, you might want to change the ressie.

Not much chance, in this specific case. Based on earlier threads on the same topic, and if I recall correctly, Le Cellier has a new Chef who does not intend to return the Maple Filet to the menu.

I had LeCellier booked for our Sept trip. We have always eaten there on every trip. But, my meal there was on the 'just okay' side in Jan, and then my friend ate there and told me about the menu changes. So...I called Disney Dining and cancelled that ADR in Sept. Changed it to Coral Reef. I know, I know..heresy!! But I am not eating anything that I'm not happy about. LeCellier took away the one thing I loved the most. Not paying the prices there for a second choice. I have a feeling it's not going to be as tough to get ADRs there in the near future.

The one thing you loved the most? Excuse me, but maple belongs only on pancakes or in/on desserts. Maple-glazed steak? Yuch. Puch. Ptoeey! :teeth:

Unfortunately, I would have to agree. We try to get to Le Cellier on every trip. I have had the maple glazed steak. The only saving grace to the meal were the mashed potatoes... and of course those wonderful breads!

You may want to try the prime rib - it's excellent!

The potatoes ARE STILL AVAILABLE. I have a feeling that's not going to change! Now, goofy4tink - it's time to expand your horizons. Think outside the box. And no, Coral Reef is NOT heresy! It's a delicious alternative with a unique feature (until you start thinking you may be watching tomorrow's dinner... :umbrella: )

If it makes anyone feel better, I've read that the fish in the aquarium are not the fish that are cooked, served, and eaten in the restaurant.
