Would this be way too much food? LeCellier at 1:30 and Coral Reef at 7:30? I'm feeling stuffed just thinking about it.
Any opinions appreciated.

It sounds like a lot to me... while I have not been to Coral Reef, I have been to Le Cellier - and I was stuffed! We had an early dinner (4:30pm) - and I was not hungry the rest of the evening - and we stayed to see Illuminations. But, it could be done if you try to eat "light"... Have fun deciding. I think we are going to try Coral Reef next time. My daughter will dig the fish. :)

If I were doing that (and it sounds like a good idea to me), for "dinner" at the Coral Reef at 7:30, I would just order a couple of appetizers. For example: Shrimp Cocktail and Creamy Lobster Soup, along with my beverage of choice.

Or, if I wanted to order a full meal, I would change the dinner reservation from 7:30 to 8:30.

Hope you have a great time at WDW.

We had lunch at the coral reef a few weeks ago and then did Sci-Fi dine in theater for dinner. It was WAY too much food and I eat a lot. We did not feel too good the day after. Kind of lost a day at the parks due to our upset stomachs.

Are you on the DDP? Then yes, probably too much food. (Not that I wouldn't give it a try!) But IMO CR's portions are on the smaller side, and Le Cellier's aren't overly huge either, so if you didn't go for the full 3 courses, or just ordered some of the lighter items it could definitely be done.

If you are on the DDP and end up doing it anyway, make sure to check your receipts--that'll be one day of HUGE savings for you! Another DDP option (based on a party of 2 adults), especially if you're trying to conserve credits, would be for one person to order the full 3 courses (to share) and the other to order just an entree OOP at each meal. You'd still get to try both restaurants, but wouldn't have as much food, and would only use 2 credits for the day.

We've done two TS's in a day without a problem and like you, we had a 6 hour time difference. :thumbsup2

Coral Reef for the Lobster Bisque...yum! I agree if you are on the DDP too much food. Maybe split an entree.

I am thinking it's going to be too much for us to eat since we are not real big eaters to start with. Yes, we are on the free DDP.
So, which ADR would you keep-- the LeCellier lunch or the Coral Reef dinner??

I think it would be way too much food...In September we ate two TS on our last day, Le Cellier for lunch and Nine Dragons for dinner and we could barely enjoy Nine Dragons, we were so stuffed!!!

Choose between Le Cellier and Coral Reef?? Thats tough- two of my favorite restaurants! I'm shocked I'm saying this because Le Cellier is fabulous and I love the cheddar cheese soup, but I think I'm going to say go for Coral Reef. The atmosphere is BEAUTIFUL, and if you don't like seafood (like me) they have a delicious steak there too!!!

I'd choose Coral Reef for dinner.

We had a wonderful meal there in October - the Ahi tuna was outstanding.

Funny, in May we are doing Le Cellier for lunch and Coral Reef for dinner on the same day but using the DDP for CR and paying cash for Le Cellier so we only have to order our favourites (I hope they still have the mussels cause that's what I want for my lunch!)

i'd go with le cellier for lunch (cheese soup, filet) and appetizers for dinner at coral reef, followed by dessert - otherwise, too much food

If you only keep one ressie, keep Le Cellier! It is our favorite by far at EPCOT and we've eaten just about everywhere. :thumbsup2

It's totally possible! We did it on our trip in March except we had the Coral Reef for lunch and LeCellier for dinner. The only reason we weren't stuffed is because our Coral Reef ADR was at 1130 and our LeCellier ADR was at 800. So, there is a big difference in there. But totally worth it! :woohoo:

We're doing the same thing during our honeymoon in August. I'm so excited!
