LeCelliar dinner menu has changed again

Great! I hope this is right. I couldn't believe they would take it off. I wish I had went back in and asked, but didn't. I hope we get confirmation from someone who eats there for dinner.

I ate at Le Cellier May 10th. I was solo, so my waiter spent quite a bit of time talking with me. We talked about how the menu had been changed recently and how alot of people here on the DIS had gotten upset about the BBQ filet being taken off the menu. He laughed and said they had been made aware of that fact by quite a few visitors in the last few weeks. I told him I was fine as long as they didn't do anything with the mushroom filet. He laughed and said, "no way, that's our Signature dish. It's our most popular item, in fact it is so popular that it is now on the lunch menu. No way would we ever quit serving that, we'd all be lynched".

OT: they have a cold watermelon soup for an appetizer now, that is also not on the allears menus. It was very good!

Whew! I'm glad to hear they still have the filet and that this was only a false alarm. We'll be in Disney in exactly one month and one week and my family is so looking forward to eating at Le Cellier! I'd be so upset if the filet was not on the menu!

Please please do not condemn Le Cellier just yet. Not to berate the OP but I called Le Cellier direct, not 407 WDW DINE, but the restaurant itself and just flat out asked if the mushroom filet was removed from the dinner menu. The answer was absolutely not!
Funny thing. My first instinct was, "Oh, no!". My second (before you went to the trouble of getting and posting an accurate answer, thank you!) was, "Okay, I can try something new!".

I would be very happy with a bowl of cheese soup and pretzel bread, and maybe a chocolate moose if there was room! The BBQ filet they did last year was lovely but I hope they haven't stopped the mushroom one DH loved it.

Too bad. Le Cellier has long been our favorite place to eat at WDW. We've been there at least 8 times and the food is always great. The last time (June 2007), My DDs favorite dessert was off the menu - the "chocolate moose". The herb crusted prime rib however has always been a winner for me.

The Chocolate Moose is off the menu????????

we're planning on lunch at LeCel in December - if the filet isn't on the menu by then, guess i'll be trying out the prime rib sandwich with the cheese soup - not what i'm planning on, but i'll be flexible...

Hi everyone-
We ate at Le Cellier last night the mushroom filet is still there so is the moose and both are still great. We were worried becuause of poor reviews lately but LeCellier tasted just as good as ever. My fav the BBQ filet is gone which was a bit disapointing but I ordered the mushroom filet with all the works on the side and mashed instead of the risotto and it was great .We also had an order of the prime rib since the bbq filet was gone and she said it was even better than the old filet! Definetly dont avoid this place because of other peoples reviews we still loved it and will def. be back. Also the ceasar is the best I've ever had!!

Thank you all who have been recently and have shared what is on the menu currently.

I have a food allergy (wheat/gluten) and LeC is on our list of restaurants this year b/c they offer greater variety of options for me. I was looking forward to the 'moose' b/c it's one of the few wheat/gluten-free desserts on most menus.

But, if I wouldn't ruin my entire vacation, that pretzel bread sounds awesome! Alas, DD and DH will get my share -- maybe for once DD will not try to eat 1/2 my meal. (hehehe)

Again, thank you all for the updates.

Please please do not condemn Le Cellier just yet. Not to berate the OP but I called Le Cellier direct, not 407 WDW DINE, but the restaurant itself and just flat out asked if the mushroom filet was removed from the dinner menu. The answer was absolutely not! The filet is their signature dish and what I told the girl who answered what I had heard, she seemed quite surprised. I didn't go into detail about what I heard since I was calling at a busy time but it seems that it was a false alarm. I didn't ask about the other items that were supposedly missing but it seems that the OP was just mistaken. It happens. No flaming here.

If there is anyone in WDW now that can get visual confirmation or at least verbal confirmation from the restaurant itself, please please do so we can put this to rest.

Hello!!!!!!

Sorry not to flame or anything, but has anyone that has posted after my post even read what I posted? Read my quote above. As far as the restaurant itself is concerned the mushroom filet is STILL ON THE MENU!!
